The post is based in the ESRC-funded Urban Big Data Centre (UBDC), an internationally recognized centre of excellence in urban analytics and social data science. The research forms part of the NERC-funded GALLANT project (Glasgow as a Living Lab Accelerating Novel Transformation). In collaboration with Glasgow City Council, C40 Cities and the Doughnut Economics Action Lab, GALLANT has developed a framework to define a ‘thriving Glasgow’, balancing planetary boundaries with the social foundations for a good life. Working with Professor Nick Bailey and colleagues from across the University, this post will focus on the challenges of developing indicators to enable the tracking of Glasgow’s progress against this framework.
