A world once defined by globalization has rapidly shifted to a fragmented landscape. Effectively addressing shared global challenges and advancing global progress require broader international cooperation and more capable, responsive global institutions. Yet, escalating geopolitical instability and deepening divisions are fueling a trend toward bloc politics, obstructing paths toward collaborative international efforts.The October issue of TI Observer delves into these upheavals, examining the impact that shifting trade relationships, "de-risking" strategies, and the rise of unilateralism might have on the world's efforts for peace and development.
