On Thursday evening, the World Aquatics announced that Chinese athlete Quan Hongchan had been selected as the Diving Female Athlete of 2024.

In a video, Quan carefully opens the box containing the trophy. She lifts the honor that belongs to her and says, "I am thrilled to receive this award, grateful for this recognition from the World Aquatics. Please continue to follow diving, thank you all for your support!"

China won all eight diving gold medals in Paris – an unprecedented feat.
