“There is a prospect greater than the sea, and it is the sky; there is a prospect greater than the sky, and it is the human soul.”
Amidst the crisp autumn air, we welcome this year’s Mental Health Week.
In our busy lives, it’s often easy to ignore our inner voices, burying stress and worries deep down, and forgetting to pause or care for ourselves.
Mental Health Week aims to provide students an opportunity to recover and care for themselves.
Mental Health Week came with a warmth and strength that weaves into everyday life. Whether in widely shared event promotions or the growing warmth across campus, every detail calls for us to slow down, let go of worries, and listen to our own inner voices.
Mental Health Week is more than a few activities; it’s a journey of self-care.
Over the past few months, the Peer Support Division, joined by nine clubs and over a hundred students, have meticulously organised over thirty events through countless meetings.
Every effort aims to spread care and support to everyone’s hearts. Whether you want to seek inner peace or wish to explore your authentic self, this week offers a space for you to belong.
Together, we will embark on a unique journey, finding inner peace in a world that often emphasises conventional success.
“Look, it’s a cuddly bear!”
Since Monday, this big guy has been a campus presence.
As a highlight of the Mental Health Week, Hugging Bear has its special charm.

“Eating Disorder” by Red Cross
“Native Art” by Rtythm of Hope + X-Link
Expressing emotions through colours and lines is the first step.
This week, we not only heard "Her Voice" but also glimpsed deep-seated emotional disorders.
These three art exhibitions displayed artworks filled with emotion.
For many who may not express themselves easily, their blessings and care for you are hidden in each painting.
Two large canvases are at the core of this event, noticed by nearly everyone passing through campus. Here, you can quietly appreciate the resonance art brings, or choose to pick up a brush and express your own inner world, turning unspeakable emotions into vibrant creations, releasing them through art.

Crafting is a relaxing process, allowing us to focus on the present and create unique art. In this workshop, you’ll learn to make all kinds of items.

Aromatherapy is another must-experience on this healing journey. Different scents help us relax or alleviate anxiety.
Here, you can blend your own fragrance and select the scents that suit you best. Lavender’s calm, lemon’s freshness, and the gentle warmth of herbal aromas bring moments of ease and joy.
Flowers always bring comfort to the soul. Roses are scattered across campus, each carrying a small blessing and message.
In your search, you’ll find not only roses but a piece of happiness in the journey itself.
One of the special activities in Mental Health Week is “Label Tearing.”
Here, you can tear off the labels imposed upon you, whether “shy,” “introverted,” or “perfectionist,” and release them.
This simple action holds immense healing power, letting us to say goodbye to conventional views and reshape our worlds.
The Hugging T-shirt is one of Mental Health Week’s highlights.
Students wear white T-shirts, leaving handprints on each other’s shirts with each embrace.
Each handprint is a symbol of support and companionship.
The most well-known part of Mental Health Week might be the “Mood Shredder.” This message wall is a space for emotional release without judgement.
Here, you can share your doubts, pressures, and hopes, and every warm, positive message is a response to your voice. Sometimes in life we might feel confused, sometimes frustrated.
But as one reply reads: “Don’t rush to get all the answers from life; sometimes, you just need to wait patiently, and life’s surprises will come unexpectedly.”
Throughout this week, we’ve received heartwarming feedback from students. Every compliment affirms Mental Health Week, encouraging us to continue.
All of this assures us that this experience will remain a lasting light in our hearts.
As one of the prefects said: “The smiles we saw this week gave us a great sense of accomplishment!”
Behind Mental Health Week are countless people working tirelessly:
Our G1s, your enthusiasm and positivity inspire many, and your occasional jokes bring energy and courage during all the busy preparation.
Our G2s, your ability impresses us all. You handle changes smoothly and always find solutions quickly.
Our A1s, your leadership over events is outstanding. Your calm brings confidence, your words bring comfort.
Our A2 Leaders, your expertise, determination, and commitment bring us confidence. Even during the busy application season, you handle everything with care.
Every meticulous improvement, every approach, has made Mental Health Week a success.
As we conclude, we want to thank all the teachers, our principal, and everyone who contributed to Mental Health Week. And most importantly, we thank all of you who participated.
In this week filled with warmth and healing, we heal ourselves and embrace each other, finding peace and strength in caring for one another. May this journey equip you to move forward with resilience, ready for whatever lies ahead.
