Recently, a letter, allegedly an internal document from Tungwah Wenze International School in Dongguan, Guangdong, was leaked online.
The letter reveals that the school currently has no enrolled students, no source of funding, is suffering significant financial losses, and the school’s board of directors has decided to enter liquidation proceedings, with teachers' labor contracts being terminated.
Earlier this year, there were already rumors that the school would stop enrolling students in 2024, but the school had not issued any formal notice. Now, it appears that the situation has developed further.
A former employee of the school confirmed the authenticity of the letter and stated that the school has indeed closed, with most of the teachers having already resigned. Since January, the school internally announced that it would stop accepting new students, and most of the current students have transferred to other schools, while a small number were notified to withdraw in September.
Earlier this year, according to Beijing Education Examinations Authority, 北京市房山区诺德安达学校（学校代码211017）2024年停止招生 Nord Anglia School, Bejing, Fangshagn suspends enrollment of high school students.
