The Oriental Hub International Business Cooperation Zone in Shanghai's Pudong , set to begin operations in 2025, will introduce a “30-day visa-free + 30-day extension” policy, offering global business professionals a more convenient platform for cross-border exchanges.
This policy innovation not only breaks traditional visa barriers but also reflects Pudong's commitment to deepening reforms and opening up. Notably, this policy allows for "visa issuance upon arrival," significantly simplifying entry procedures for foreign business visitors.
Currently, Pudong New Area hosts 28,000 foreign-invested companies, accounting for 60% of Shanghai's total foreign trade import-export volume, 70% of its licensed financial institutions, and 90% of its container throughput. These industrial advantages are accelerating the creation of a new economic growth hub. The 7-square-kilometer development blueprint for the Oriental Hub includes a 0.88-square-kilometer International Business Cooperation Zone, as well as major projects such as Disney's "Oriental Paradise" and the "Golden Central Ring."
