FOR PARENTS
SLSK2开放日是一次教育交流庆典。在这一天,我们不仅展示了园内的基础设施,还展示了园内为孩子们编织的充满活力的学习体验。家长通常对孩子一天中大部分时间所处的环境感到好奇,因此能借此机会亲眼目睹幼儿园的创新教学方法、探究型活动和感受幼儿园的整体氛围。
SLSK2 Open Day was a celebration of education. It was a day when we showcased not just infrastructure but also the vibrant tapestry of learning experiences woven within the walls. Parents, often curious about the environment in which their children spend a significant portion of their day, get an opportunity to witness first hand the innovative teaching methodologies, inquiry based activities, and the overall ethos of the kindergarten.

As a candidate school for IB–PYP, we make sure that there is transparency and the learning community is part of the students vibrant learning culture. Transparency is a key aspect of any educational institution's relationship with parents and the wider community. Open Days provide a platform for schools to communicate openly about their curriculum, teaching philosophy, and schools vision towards IB Curriculum. The inquiry based curriculum, which not only enhances the skills but also the IB Learner profile attributes.

The teachers of PK, JK, and SK showcased the Unit of Inquiry and Phonics lessons to the parents. As mentioned above the transparency, the classes were the normal routine of the morning hours. The parents could see their children’s daily school flow and could understand the importance of the role each teachers’ and administration.
The UOI were designed as per the current theme of each grade, the parents could understand the flow of the lesson and the lesson objective. They could easily identify their child’s growth throughout the months and years in the SLSK2. During the reflection survey the parents expressed how their child is outshined with the Learner Profile attributes and the skills they are slowly adapting and enhancing.

In an IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) learning community, collaboration is paramount. Parents, teachers, and students actively engage in a dynamic partnership, fostering a holistic educational environment. The community plays a vital role in nurturing inquiry-based learning, intercultural understanding, and the development of globally minded, lifelong learners. We are thankful to have a wonderful partnership with the SLSK2 parents and we hope to have progressive success in our vision.
