In IB mission statement, the International Baccalaureate (IB) states: "The IB develops inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through education that builds intercultural understanding and respect.” This trip around the world can cultivate children's awareness of global citizenship and plant the seeds of international-mindedness, broad-mindedness, acceptance and friendliness in their hearts, which is also one of the tenets of SLSK2.

Before the flight departed, the children dressed in their favorite national costumes gathered in front of the "United Nations Day" display board to take the SLSK2 flight to start the wonderful journey around the world with their family and best friends.

As one of the four ancient civilizations, China has a long-standing and profound traditional culture. The K-challenge game is a traditional Korean children's game. Children need to use their facial muscles to bring cookies to their mouths or use a thin needle to buckle the complete shape of the sugar cake to be considered a successful challenge. Those who fail the challenge will be punished by a blind box, which is fun and exciting.

The last station is Spain that have many beautiful castles. The children wore colorful dresses and danced flamenco dances together. They also painted a unique Spanish folding fan, and deeply experienced the characteristic culture of Spain.

In preparation for the United Nations day. We invited parents as part of the learning community. Parents actively participated in the collaborative planning with the teachers and amangement, decorations and setting up the stages. The success of this global trip is inseparable from the participation and contribution of parents, and we would like to thank parents for their active participation and being part of this strong learning community!
