This project is a designer's own residence. The overlapping identities of designers and users have reduced the restrictions on design. We hope to have a place that accepts change, is open and inclusive.
The original structure of the house was a conventional four bedroom layout. We chose to open up the space, removed the balcony and a bedroom connected to the living room, and created a spacious living room. A high degree of freedom space can accommodate more hobbies and activities, making life more fluid. We have chosen a color tone between walnut and teak as the main material for the space, hoping to create a calm and profound atmosphere. At the same time, we chose blue as the main color tone to enhance and enhance this temperament.
In the design of lighting, we have chosen a design without a main light. In order to supplement the lighting, we have added many hidden light strips and point light sources of different heights. We hope that the lighting can serve the space in an imperceptible way. Light is the soul of atmosphere, and compared to pure brightness and transparency, we prefer the existence of light to be rich in layers.
We are trying to explore the relationship with objects. The abundance of material resources in modern society provides us with countless choices, but goods should not become a burden on our lives. We embrace the joy of owning items, as well as the process of gradually aging items. Chasing, owning, experiencing, and giving up, allowing items to slowly metabolize in life, is the long-term philosophy we pursue. We have chosen a style that is not defined by current trends and a spatial pattern that is as open as possible, in order to give space such a concept of time.
Housing is the container of life, and how it is shaped to some extent determines how life is shaped. We believe that for residential buildings, de stylization is the beginning of discussing style. Residential buildings should reflect the personal interests, aesthetic preferences, style characteristics, and so on of the residents. Therefore, no matter how carefully designed, the space at the moment of completion is still considered unfinished. Dressing up a house is like our life, it is more vibrant because it will change.
