熊大说，机会永远是给有准备的人。既然已经上了生活这条贼船，不如试着做个快乐的海盗，用平和与乐观的力量在命运的大海中迎接起起落落；哪怕不一定能抱得宝藏归，但不管是沿途的美景，能暂时停靠休憩的岛屿或是未知的领域……有备而来的人总能get到命运的惊喜，找到希望的灯塔与前行的方向。这也是“GRIN BEAR”形象创立的初衷，艺术家希望小熊们五颜六色的外表和贱兮兮的笑容可以给大家带来治愈与鼓舞，有bear（备）而来，烦恼拜拜。

大眼睛、大嘴巴、尖牙齿是“GRIN BEAR”的标志性“熊样”。这个艺术家刘伟雄自2008年起创立的个人IP经历时间的沉淀，从最初穿着熊外套的熊孩子逐渐变成大众熟悉的那只嘴巴大大，长着8颗尖牙的熊。可爱又透着怪诞的咧嘴小熊是艺术家刘伟雄对自己内心的描绘，它也一路见证了艺术家从沉默寡言，总想用犀利外壳保护自己的社恐男孩慢慢成为和熊外壳融为一体，与志同道合的朋友一同追梦的街头艺术家BEAR。为笔下每只小熊设置的丰富情境再现了艺术家对童年时代与伊甸园世界的憧憬，也安静地游走在人们的记忆中，为钢筋混泥土的生活添加了怪诞童趣。

涂鸦颜料与手法的运用也是“GRIN BEAR”的特别之处。作为涂鸦老玩家，BEAR表示这不仅是他作品的灵魂组件，也是他最好的减压方式。拿好颜料，走到墙面，想到什么就画什么，整个涂鸦的过程可以让他放松愉悦，将脑海里的想法无拘无束地展现出来。本次展览开幕之际，BEAR也将在M50某栋建筑的墙面上即兴涂鸦，让亦正亦邪的盖世英‘熊’张大嘴巴，吞噬掉无尽的负能量。

# 关于艺术家(￣(工)￣) #
BEAR刘伟雄，1988 年出生于广东惠州。
一名独立漫画师，纹身师，街头艺术家。2006 年开始街头涂鸦创作，通过“涂鸦”绘画出内心的世界，也因为“涂鸦”认识了许多朋友。2008 年他开始创作 IP“GRIN BEAR”，从此他的涂鸦形象开始出现在街头各个角落。
最初创作的GRIN BEAR 是一个穿着熊外套的熊孩子。为了保护自己，把身体藏进外套里，用大大的嘴巴，尖尖的牙齿吓走一切想伤害他的人。而在经历时间的沉淀后，此形象受到越来越多人的喜爱与追捧——大眼睛、大嘴巴、尖牙齿以成为其独特的标志，也为钢筋混泥土下的生活添加了一丝童趣。2019 年至 2022 年，艺术家与滑板品牌 BLAAK MARKET、匹克PEAK 及国潮品牌 LNBR 合作，推出联名单品。
# Foreword #
Xiong Da（the character of Boonie Bears）said that opportunities are always given to those who are prepared. Since everyone have embarked on a vessel called life, how about the idea trying to be a happy pirate? Let’s meet the rise and falls of the ocean ‘Fate’ with our peaceful mind and optimism. There is a chance for us to find the hidden treasure, but even without valuables, those beautiful scenery along the way, the island that we can take a break or the next unknown territory......Those who come prepared can always get the surprise of fate and find a beacon of hope to keep up the journey. That is also the motive of creating IP "GRIN BEAR" , the artist hopes that the colorful appearance and tricky smile of the bears can heal and inspire everyone.
Huge pair of eyes, wide mouth and sharp pointed teeth are the signature image of "GRIN BEAR". Artist Liu Weixiong created his personal IP since 2008, gradually, the image transformed from a rebellious child wearing a bear jacket to a grinning bear figure with 8 fangs. The cute and bizarre figure of “GRIN BEAR” depict the inner world of the artist Liu Weixiong, and it has also witnessed Liu 's transformation from a introverted shy boy , instinctively play it cool to protect himself, to street artist BEAR who chases his dreams accompany by like-minded friends. The diverse setting for each bear express artist's longing for the world of Eden and childhood memories.
The use of graffiti is the highlight of "GRIN BEAR". For BEAR, graffiti is not only a key part of his work, but also the best way to decompress.Grab the paint, approach to the wall, draw whatever comes to mind, the whole process of creation make him relax and found contentment. During the opening of this exhibition, BEAR will also improvise graffiti on a wall of a building in M50 art district, so that our hero “GRIN BEAR” can widely open his mouth and swallow up all of your bad mood and negative energy.
# About the artist #
BEAR( Liu Weixiong )
born in 1988 , Huizhou, Guangdong.
An independent cartoonist, tattoo artist, street artist. In 2006, he started to deal with graffiti creation, painting his inner world through street art. He also met many like-minded friends through this interest. In 2008, The IP "GRIN BEAR" was created.Since then, his graffiti image has begun to appear all over the street.
About GRIN BEAR, the original creation was a rebel child wearing a bear coat.His body was hidden in the coat in order to protect himself, the wild mouth and sharp pointed teeth also symbolize a defensive attitude that tries to scare away anyone who wanted to hurt him. Through the time, big eyes, wide mouth and sharp pointed teeth become the signature image of "GRIN BEAR" ,more and more people love the those bright and vivid appearance and tricky smile of the bears.
From 2019 to 2022, the artist cooperated with skateboard brands BLAAK MARKET,PEAK and partnered with LNBR, a domestic trend brand, to launch a co-branded product.
