Al Watania, Donghexin agree Saudi’s first tinplate plant
Kallanish（开阑商务信息咨询）报道，沙特阿拉伯的Al Watania for Industries (WFI)和中国的 东和欣集团正在合作建设沙特阿拉伯首家综合镀锡板厂。
Saudi Arabia's Al Watania for Industries (WFI) and China's Donghexin Group (DHX) are partnering to create the first integrated tinplate manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia, Kallanish notes.
该协议是上周在利雅得举行的未来矿产论坛上，在沙特工业和矿产资源大臣Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef的见证下签署的。
The agreement was signed under the patronage of Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef at the Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh last week.
这座位于拉斯海尔工业城的工厂每年将生产40万吨镀锡板，供应国内市场。由于这将是海湾合作委员会的第一家镀锡板厂，该厂也将使沙特阿拉伯成为该地区的主要出口国。
The Ras Al-Khair Industrial City-based facility will produce 400,000 tonnes/year of tinplate, catering to the domestic market. It will also position Saudi Arabia as a key regional exporter, as this will be the first tinplate mill in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
WFI指出，这项合作利用先进的技术和专业知识，创造竞争优势，同时确保知识转让和当地劳动力的发展，创造500多个新的就业机会。WFI补充说，此举旨在加强工业供应链，促进出口，减少对进口的依赖。
The collaboration leverages advanced technology and expertise, creating competitive advantage while ensuring knowledge transfer and local workforce development, resulting in over 500 new jobs, WFI notes. The initiative aims to strengthen the industrial supply chain, boost exports, and reduce reliance on imports, it adds.
WFI董事长Mosaed Al Ohali说：“这家合资企业展示出国际合作如何帮助实现沙特2030愿景目标。该厂将满足国内需求，并使沙特阿拉伯成为全球镀锡板市场的重要参与者。”
WFI chairman Mosaed Al Ohali says: “This joint venture demonstrates how international collaboration can help achieve Saudi Vision 2030 goals. It addresses domestic needs and positions Saudi Arabia as a key player in the global tinplate market.”
该厂计划于2027年初开始运营。他补充说，这将是“提高本地化率的重要一步，也将使沙特阿拉伯成为这种重要镀锡板的出口国，从而支持食品工业、促进工业自立和经济多样化。”
The plant is scheduled to commence operations by early 2027. It will be a “significant step towards increasing the local content as well as the Kingdom becoming an exporter of this crucial tinplate, thereby supporting the food industries, fostering industrial self-reliance, and diversifying the economy,” he adds.
东和欣董事长李东说：“东和欣集团与WFI强强联手，在沙特阿拉伯建设第一家全流程镀锡板厂，引进世界领先的镀锡板技术，体现出远见卓识。东和欣集团的目标是将该厂打造成世界上的绿色电力、低碳工厂，确保高效、高质量的生产，为全球镀锡板行业树立标杆。”
DHX chairman Li Dong notes: “The DHX Group and WFI have formed a strong alliance to establish the first full-process tinplate factory in Saudi Arabia, introducing world-leading tinplate technology and demonstrating significant foresight. The DHX Group aims to transform this factory into the world’s green electricity, low-carbon facility, ensuring efficient, high-quality production and establishing a benchmark for the global tinplate industry.”
总部位于上海的东和欣集团成立于2004年，从事镀锡板和层压板行业已有20多年的历史。 东和欣在江苏省和四川省拥有三家生产厂，专门生产镀锡板、金属包装、TFS、ETP和金属罐。WFI的核心业务是包装和建材生产。
Founded in 2004, Shanghai-based Donghexin Group has been engaged in the tinplate and laminated industry for more than 20 years. It has three manufacturing plants located in Jiangsu Province and Sichuan Province, and specialises in tinplate, metal packaging, TFS, ETP, and metal cans. WFI’s core activity is in the packaging and building materials production sectors.
