During the debate on whether it is necessary to limit mariculture, the students in our class presented different opinions.Those in favor of restrictions think it is important to limit mariculture to ensure environmental sustainability and prevent the spread of diseases. Besides, they say if the industry grows too quickly, the excessive use of natural marine resources could become a problem. However, those who are against restrictions argue that limiting mariculture would affect economic growth.In addition, such limitations may cause seafood prices to rise.
