During the India-England test matches this year, the Indian team played extremely well. All the players did an excellent job. However, one person has been the rising star in this test series.
That young talent is Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was born in 2001 in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. Yashasvi moved to Mumbai to develop his cricketing skills at the age of 12. While undergoing training, he took odd jobs on the street to support himself. His hard work and talent helped him get his impressive first appearance in the Ranji Trophy. Yashasvi practised a lot and was selected for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup, where he was first recognised for his fine performance and was named Player of the Tournament. He was also selected by the Rajasthan Royals in 2020 to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yashasvi struggled during his IPL season. However, the young man didn't lose heart, practised even harder, and started making a name for himself in cricket. During the 2023 IPL, he finished 5th on the scoring charts while playing for the Rajasthan Royals. The selectors noticed his excellent performance, and they picked him for the Indian cricket team.
This year, Yashasvi created some fantastic records during the India-England test series. He hit the second double century of his career during the third India-England test match. He had also scored a double century during the second test match. By doing so, he became the first Indian batsman to score two double-hundreds competing with England in test cricket.
Though facing many challenges, he worked hard and never gave up on his goals. Finally, his determination and hard work helped him improve his game, which helped him play for India.
