The house belongs to aged owners who have a son working as an architect abroad. We were received a detailed brief which was comprehnesive from the owners’ son.?

The owners lived in many houses, eventually, they found an approriate site of their dream houses. Having a thoughtful idea about the house, they wanted their house would be a place which was conformable the conventionl lifestyle in the coutryside accompanying the modern convenience and sustainability. Despite being in a hustle city, the design should ensure area for green coverage. However, they did not want a carefully designed garden, they expected spaces where they can grow plants by themselves.

The house is divided into 2 blocks connected by central circulation and garden. A part of living block and common room were planed for the aged owners, while, the left space was for their children who sometimes would come back from foreign countries.

Besides, The interlace voids in the house’s structure associates with the advantageous size of the site allowing nature ventilation, solar light as well as the diversity in viewpoints. Additionally, the design ought to have various open spaces, meanwhile, the privacy must be ensured.

Natural rubble stone, wood, concrete and wind cotton tiles were applied and reconstructed to adapt the modern design language, at the meantime, utilizing materials strength and characteristics. Furthermore, natural materials were the significant factors representing tropical features in the project and poising the temperature between wood and stone. In addition, concrete’s stability acted as the foundation for the development of the space frames. Especially, making the stone wall worked as the base of the house, while, ensuring the aesthetics was the largest challenge of the project. In the term of transporting materials, it was a excellent cooperation between architects and the craftmen in the process of shaping and trucking nature rubble stone from BinhDinh province to Hanoi. Modern design language was expressed by associating solid wood with rusty iron in interior design created the contrast to the traditional method of contructing stone.
天然碎石、木材、混凝土和风棉瓦被应用和重建以适应现代设计语言，同时利用材料的强度和特性。此外，天然材料是项目中代表热带特征的重要因素，并平衡了木材和石头之间的温度。此外，混凝土的稳定性是空间框架发展的基础。特别是，将石墙作为房屋的底座，同时确保美观是该项目最大的挑战。在材料运输方面，建筑师和工匠在塑造和运输自然碎石的过程中，将自然碎石从平定省运到河内，这是一次出色的合作。现代设计语言通过在室内设计中将实木与生锈的铁联系起来来表达，与传统的石材建造方法形成鲜明对比。![]()

In an overview, the project’s base was made of rubble stone with the careful calculation to keep the aesthetics and structural strength. Meanwhile, project’s core was formed by 2 stone walls running along the house’s depth. In the core, the close, open and semi-open gardens were added as the connection with the other functions. Simultaneously, the gardens played the key role of softening the rough of concrete and stone.
总而言之，该项目的地基由碎石制成，经过精心计算，以保持美观和结构强度。同时，项目的核心由沿着房屋深处延伸的 2 堵石墙形成。在核心中，增加了封闭、开放和半开放的花园，作为与其他功能的联系。同时，花园在软化混凝土和石头的粗糙方面发挥了关键作用。![]()

The eaves and transitional spaces in front of the functional rooms provided the balance in light and temperation that tropical modernism aimed. Moreover, the elevation which faced the street and other houses was tiled by wind cotton tiles. This method not only optimized the ablitity of natural ventilation and heat insulation but also assured the privacy. Thanks to the outstanding design strategy and solution in using materials, the project was constructed with the modern appearance came along with tropical features.
功能室前面的屋檐和过渡空间提供了热带现代主义所追求的光线和气候的平衡。此外，面向街道和其他房屋的立面是用风棉瓦铺成的。这种方法不仅优化了自然通风和隔热的湿度，而且保证了隐私性。得益于出色的设计策略和材料使用解决方案，该项目的建造具有现代外观和热带特色。![]()
