This achievement brings her Olympic medals tally to 10, making her the most decorated athlete in Chinese Olympic history and setting a new record for the Chinese swimming team at the Olympics.

The Paris Olympics marks Zhang Yufei’s third Olympic appearance. Reflecting on her performance, she expressed some pity over not winning a gold medal and revealed her desire to change her lifestyle after the Paris Olympics.
As a graduate student at SEU enrolled in the Class of 2022, Zhang Yufei enjoys her campus life and swimming training at SEU, usually swimming alongside her peers at the university pool. “Strive for Perfection”, SEU’s school motto, inspires us to continually improve ourselves, care for others, pursue perfection, and maintain excellence.
