At the press conference for the Shenzhou-19 crewed spaceflight mission, the mission headquarters announced that, after thorough evaluation, the Shenzhou-19 crewed spaceship is scheduled for launch at 4:27 a.m. Beijing time on October 30.

According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO), the Shenzhou-19 crew comprises three astronauts: Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze, with Cai Xuzhe as the commander. This selection, assessed and finalized by the Flight Mission Headquarters for the application and development phase of the space station, includes one astronaut from the second batch and two from the third batch. Notably, Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze, both born in the 1990s, are undertaking their first spaceflight mission. Wang Haoze is also China’s first female flight engineer and will become the third Chinese woman to participate in a crewed spaceflight mission.

Reporters learned from SEU that Wang Haoze is an alumnus of the School of Energy and Environment at SEU. She completed her undergraduate studies in Energy and Power Engineering in the class of 2008 and her graduate studies in Thermal Engineering in the class of 2012.
