The class of 2024 is as diverse from one another as they are in talents; they are artists, dancers, computer scientists, veterinarians, biologists, scientists, politicians, financial gurus, actors, and social scientists. They are eloquent, knowledgeable communicators, dreamers, darers, carers, courageous global citizens, and internationally-minded scholars. In keeping with tradition graduates wore sashes of different colors to represent their varied achievements, passions, and aspirations for the future.
Shaun, Shevonne, Eden, Jacky, Jessica, Justin, Bob, Junemo, Chris, Bailey, Lily, and Krystal have grown into insightful, empathetic, and courageous individuals ready to make meaningful contributions to society. Throughout their educational journey, they have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to their studies and were celebrated at this year's graduation ceremony. We believe in the power of a holistic education to shape well-rounded individuals capable of navigating future challenges. Grade 12 graduates embody this philosophy, having experienced a balanced education that includes academics, arts, sports, and service.
Keynote speaker Nick Cross addressed students and imparted this beautiful message: "By combining hard work and smart work, you will gain the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape. A global landscape, that, dare I say, you will also be immigrants in. So, graduates, as you step into this next chapter of your lives, I implore you to embrace the wisdom of working both hard and smart. Be diligent, dedicated, and persistent in your pursuits, but also be strategic, innovative, and resourceful in your approach. Remember that success is not a destination but a continuous journey of growth and self-improvement."
The ceremony was a bittersweet moment to say farewell to our beloved graduates who will now spread their wings and travel to Canada, the USA, the UK, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, China, and the Philippines to continue their journey of growth at some of the most prestigious universities in the world.
