"The Chicago" stage design is extremely simple, with actors using chairs, hats, and steel frames to complete most of the dance movements. The band, instead of playing in the pit, joins the stage performance, creating the atmosphere of a Chicago nightclub in the early 20th century. They not only serve the function of live music but also participate in the plot, interacting with the actors and audience.
The simple spatial arrangement and small-scale group scenes highlight the actors' performances, creating a unique expressive power. The audience's imagination runs wild, as if entering a glamorous entertainment world. Simple and elaborate, tension and relaxation, how can one miss such a feast?
