选择进入VCE体系的维州学生将在10年级时做出选科决定，选择学习什么科目不仅对12年级的最终成绩有着决定性的影响，同时也关系到学生的未来发展和职业规划。因此，学生在9、10年级时对VCE体系及科目有所认知了解是至关重要的。

Victorian students who choose to enter the VCE system will make a decision on subjects choices in Year 10. Choosing what subjects to study not only has a decisive impact on the final score of Year 12, but also related to students' future development and career planning. Therefore, it is crucial for students to have an overall understanding of the VCE system and subjects from Year 9 and 10.

维多利亚州教育证书(Victorian Certificate of Education, VCE)是针对在澳大利亚维多利亚州完成高中11年级和12年级教育的学生颁发的证书，是希望接受高等教育的学生的首要选择。一些学校的学生可以选择在10年级甚至更早进行VCE学习。

The Victorian Certificate ofEducation (often abbreviated VCE) is one credential available to secondary school students who successfully complete year 11 and12 in the Australian state of Victoria. The VCE is the predominant choice for studentswishing to pursue tertiary education. Some students start VCE in Year 10, and some study Units 3 and 4 in Year 11.

VCE共有超过90门课程，囊括人文、科学、科技、数学、艺术、语言，以及职业技能学习等。

There are over 90 VCE studies for you to choose from across the humanities, sciences, mathematics, technology, arts and languages, as well as vocational studies.

通常考生会选择共6门VCE科目，其中主修四门（即英语和其他分数最高的三门课程，总分计入100%），并辅修两门（总分计入10%）。通过计算后的总分将会转换为ATAR。

Primary Four + Increments Two: The primary four consists of the highest VTAC scaled study score in one of English subjects, and the remaining three highest permissible VTAC scaled study scores. The two increments counts for 10% of VTAC scaled study scores. 

VCE课程设置的初衷即鼓励学生从9、10年级开始思考、探索自己感兴趣的方向，并不以标准化的模板来要求每位学生。

The original intention of VCE is to encourage students to think and explore what interests them  from Year 9 and 10. 

根据维州高等教育中心VTAC的建议，选择VCE科目的依据分为以下三种：你感兴趣的科目、你擅长的科目、未来想要在大学学习或从事相关工作所要求的必修科目。

According to VTAC, students are encouraged to choose VCE subjects based on 3 aspects - the subjects you are interested in, the subjects you are good at, and the subjects you want to study in university or in relation to you desired career in the future.

除了刚刚提到的三点，如果你想进入对入学要求很高的专业，例如医学或法律，那么选择加分力度大的科目就显得尤为重要了——因为只有考试分数足够高，才能在ATAR大排名中名列前茅。

In addition to the three aspects mentioned, if you want to major in a subject with high admission requirements, such as medicine or law, it is then particularly important to choose a subject that will be strongly scaled up - because only when your scaled study score is high enough can you be at the top of the ATAR ranking.

• 根据难易程度分为 By difficulty level - 

• 高数 Specialist Mathematics (most difficult)

• 中数 Mathematical Methods

• 低数 GeneralMathematics

• 低数 Foundation Mathematics

• 2023年，原Further Maths变为General Maths，Foundation Maths难度则更低。

• 其中高数、中数为加分学科，两门低数为减分学科。

• 根据VCAA最新考纲，Foundation Maths的校内考试SAC占比为60%；其他三门数学的校内考试SAC占比为40%，相比之前有小幅提升。

• 报考高数的前提是必须同时报考或者已学完中数

• 若同时学习三门数学，分数低的一门会被算作辅修科目（分数的10%计入总成绩）

• 很多理工和财经方面的大学专业，都把在VCE阶段学习过中数并在最后大考中取得不低于25分裸分做为与ATAR分数同样重要的入学要求

• 开卷考试：考生可以将所有的知识点，公式以及易错点记录在一张两面A3大小的纸上带入考场

• 物理是一门加分学科

• 根据VCAA最新考纲，物理校内SAC考试占总成绩30%(Unit 3)和20%(Unit 4)，年终考试(Unit 3 & 4)占50%

• 鉴于物理的专业性与系统性，不少大学的理工科专业将物理分数作为与ATAR分数同样重要的入学要求
