Do you still remember? There is a human child next to me who always plays with dirt. After observing him carefully, I find that this child who likes to play with dirt is very intelligent.
For example, he piles the dirt into a small triangular mound. Whether viewed from the front, back, left, or right, it always remains a triangle. I think this is the embryonic form of the Egyptian pyramid.
I believe this intelligent child wants to remind adults that it's time to build a pyramid.
If adults can understand the intelligence of this child, a pyramid would be built here soon.
Unfortunately, although the child is building a dirt pyramid every day, his parents never carefully observe his behavior, let alone fully understand his wisdom. Therefore, the real pyramid has yet to begin its construction. What is a pity!
Today, the child seems to have a new idea. He hides a wild nut in the soft soil.
He buries it, dig it out, buries it again, and dig it out again. When he buried the nut in the soil for the 15th time, I finally understand that the child is inspiring people to start learning how to plant fruit trees and crops.
If his parents understand his wisdom and plant this nut, perhaps the wild nut may sprout the next year. Once it sprouts, it will no longer be a wild nut, but a cultivated nut tree. If the seedling receives careful care such as fertilization and watering, it may grow very strong.
At this point, some students may say, why doesn't the child plant the wild nut on his own? I say it's not that simple. Firstly, the child doesn't know how to water or fertilize, he might just pee on it, and he might not even do it every day. For a tree seedling, perhaps it's not enough. Secondly, this is the child's experimental base. If it is filled with fruit trees, the child will have no experimental space. Without an experimental space, the child won't be able to carry out these soil experiments, which would be boring.
Well, if the small nut tree gets careful care from adults, it may grow into a sturdy nut tree, which is very likely to produce more nuts than those in the wild. Compared to wild nuts that thrive on their own in the mountains, such nuts may have thinner shells and fuller flesh, making them sweeter for people to eat. Unfortunately, adults are too busy picking wild nuts and never carefully observe the child's behavior, nor thoroughly understand his wisdom. What a pity!
The sun rises slowly, and a new day begins.
The child also begins his new experiment: he makes a small room out of soil, without a roof or doors and windows. However, this does not stop the child from keeping an ant in the small room, even though the ant seems unwilling to be kept by the child and desperately runs out of the room. The child, holding a small stick, continuously redirects the ant back inside. The ant changes direction and continues to flee, only to be teased back by the child. This goes on repeatedly, both the ant and the child persisting in their respective directions. I get confused and fall asleep.
In my dream, I realize that the child is signaling to adults that it is time to start raising animals. By capturing wild animals and keeping them at home, they can simply catch one and eat it directly when they want to eat meat. What a great idea!
When I wake up, the ants in the small room are gone, but there is another small creature. Oh, it is a pill bug.
The child and the pill bug are engaged in a game of tag.
The pill bug thinks the child isn't paying attention to it, so it stretches its body and tries to crawl out. But the pill bug is always spotted by the child. The child plays with the pill bug using a small twig, and the pill bug would turn into a small round ball and roll to the lowest point in the room. After a while, the child has a brilliant idea and places a stone in the small room. The pill bug quickly runs over and obediently hide under the stone, never coming out again. In this way, the child successfully keeps the pill bug in the small room, and even pulls out some weeds to feed the pill bug when it gets hungry.
It suddenly dawns on me that the child is telling adults that they should really consider domesticating some animals – pheasants, ducks, rabbits, horses, bison, deer, wolves... There are so many animals, and surely at least one can be successfully domesticated. After all, some animals can provide meat for humans, some can provide warm fur, some can provide companionship, and some can provide beautiful decorations or useful tools. There are so many benefits to domesticate animals!
However, during the day, adults are busy chasing and capturing wild beasts, and at night, they worry about wild beasts. They don't have the time to carefully observe the child's behavior, nor do they truly understand his intelligence. What a pity!
One day, the child draws a long, winding line in the dirt, leading all the way into the grass. Perhaps he is telling the adults that a road should be built here. But you know, during the day, adults are busy running in the jungle, where there are no roads yet. People stumble on and sometimes get scratched by thorns and branches, but they don't have the time to pay attention to the child, let alone carefully observe his behavior or truly understand his intelligence. What a pity!
Now, the child has buried some leaves and several branches in the dirt. What is he trying to tell?
