Several Postdoc and PhD candidate positions are available in the group of Dr. Han Xiao, Director of SynthX Center at Rice University. The focus of our research is the development of innovative technologies allowing us to understand complex biology system as well as develop novel therapeutic strategies. We are currently accepting applications for highly self-motivated postdoc, graduate students, and summer visitor with chemical, biological, biomedical, or related background.
1. Medicinal Chemistry: We are looking for postdoc fellows/visiting scholars with a strong background in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. Experience in drug design and cell-based assay is a plus.
2. Dye Development: We are looking for postdoc fellows/visiting scholars with a strong background in fluorophore Development. Experience in animal imaging is a plus.
3. Protein Evolution and Cell Engineering: We are looking for scholars with experiences in protein and cell engineering to join this project. Candidates with experiences in Machine Learning, Next-Generation Sequencing, Metabolic engineering, genome editing, protein engineering, and/or cell engineering are preferred.
4. Cancer and Immune Therapy: We are looking for scholars with a strong background in targeted therapy. Experience in antibody therapy, bispecific antibody therapy, animal work, and/or other immunotherapy is a plus.
