The much-anticipated photography exhibition by James Lu, focusing on the American Southwest, will be held from November 2-28, 2024, at the University City Public Library in St. Louis ( 6701 Delmar Blvd, University City, MO 63130). You are warmly invited to the reception on Friday, November 22, from 6-8 p.m., to enjoy the artwork and engage with the master photographer.

The landscapes of the American Southwest are more than just scenery; they are vast, living canvases painted by time, shaped by elemental forces, and touched by countless generations. This exhibition is a tribute to the rugged beauty and unique spirit of this land, a region defined by towering red rocks, expansive desserts, dramatic canyons, and endless skies.

关于鲁植 - About James Lu
鲁植是一位居住在圣路易斯的摄影师。他的摄影之旅始于初中，当时他收到了人生中的第一台相机，开始拍摄家乡中国的市民、朋友、城市景观和自然风光。他拥有机械工程学士学位，并在造船领域工作了超过十六年。2001年，他移居美国密苏里州的圣路易斯。在获得MBA学位后，他进入金融行业工作。然而，他从未停止追随对摄影的热爱。
James Lu is a Saint Louis based photographer. His photography journey started in junior high school when he received his first camera and began to take images of his hometown people, friends, cityscape and landscape in China. he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, worked in the field of shipbuilding for over sixteen years. In 2001, he moved to Saint Louis, Missouri. After obtaining his MBA degree, he has been working in the finance industry. However, he never stopped following his passion for photography.

As a seasoned photographer, curator, and educator with over four decades of experience, he has been deeply engaged in both the art and practice of photography. His journey has taken him from behind the lens to the forefront of curating exhibitions and mentoring aspiring photographers. He strives to inspire others through workshops, lectures, and hands-on guidance, helping them develop their unique visual voice while fostering a deeper appreciation for the medium of photography.
他目前是美国摄影学会（PSA）西北分会主席，北美艺术摄影师协会副会长，以及圣路易斯摄影俱乐部的董事会成员。
He is currently the Chair of the Northwest Chapter of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), Vice President of the North America Art Photographers Association, and a board director of the St Louis Camera Club.
