要培养具有国际视野的世界公民,需要具备六大超学科主题所涉及的概念、知识、技能、态度以及行动。“Who We Are我们是谁”是托班的主题之一。围绕这个主题,我们充分调动感官来探索和认识世界。美华国际园的“小小探究家”们,在老师们的陪伴下,用两个多月的时间围绕“我们是谁”这一主题展开了一系列的探究活动。了解主题后,孩子们对于“我有哪些感官?感官的作用是什么?我能感受到什么?”等等这些与“我”、“我的感官”、“我的感受”相关的话题产生了强烈探索欲望。
超市可以带给孩子丰富的
感官和语言刺激。
琳琅满目的商品、
产品包装、促销海报和
身旁的购物者......
都可以吸引到孩子。
西瓜的触感、
榴莲的味道、
包装袋上的文字、
价格标签上的数字,
以及排队付钱时的等待......
超市,让孩子认知世界!
We all had a great time learning about the Metro supermarket both there and inside the classroom! Before we left for the supermarket, we reviewed buying fruits and vegetables together by using our classroom cash register to practice choosing some food and paying for it. At the supermarket, we saw different things that are for sale such as home goods, toys, and electronics on the second floor. We even got to play in the play area of the supermarket together! Then, we ventured down to the first floor and got to see different kinds of fruits and vegetables that are for sale. We chose bitter melon, ginger, hawthorn, chilies, lemons and apples to taste together back in the classroom to represent sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy. Back in the classroom, the children had fun experiencing the different tastes. Their favorite by far were the sweet apples and some also enjoyed the sour lemons. After all the fun, we prepared some of each food for everyone to take home to share with their families.Overall, it was a great learning experience, and we are all very glad to have went! We can not wait for our next field trip!我们在教室和超市学到了很多关于超市购物的知识,也在麦德龙超市度过了一段特别开心的时光。在去超市之前,我们在教室里一起练习怎么挑选水果和蔬菜,如何用收银机支付费用。在超市的二楼,我们看到了琳琅满目的物品,比如家庭用品、玩具和电子产品。不仅如此,我们还在超市的游乐区里玩耍了!然后,我们下到一楼,看到了各种各样的水果和蔬菜。我们挑选了苦瓜、姜、山楂、辣椒、柠檬和苹果,并带回到教室里一起品尝酸、甜、苦、辣的味道。回到教室,孩子们品尝着不同的味道,这样的体验为他们带来了乐趣。这些味道中,他们最喜欢的是甜苹果,还有一些宝贝喜欢酸柠檬。意犹未尽后,我们给每个宝贝准备了不同的食物带回家与家人分享。总之,这真是一次特别棒的学习经历!我们已经迫不及待地期待下次外出实践活动啦!

Where We Are in Space and Time
“Where We Are in Space and Time我们身处什么时空”是小班的主题。围绕这个主题,孩子们对“人们使用的各种交通工具”这一线索进行了深入探究。
了解主题后,孩子们对于“交通规则和出行流程”、“交通工具和旅行”、“特殊用途的交通工具”等有关的话题产生了强烈探索欲望。
汽车虽然每天都能看见,
却也藏着许多有趣的知识,
对孩子们有着天然的吸引力。
有的孩子对墙上的交通标志很感兴趣,
有的孩子一起点数大小不同的车轮,
有的孩子观察着
不同图案的LOGO、不同形状的车窗......
在每一辆汽车旁,
孩子们总能发现自己感兴趣的事物。
汽车和生活有哪些关系?

This month, to cap off our unit on Transportation, the Pre-K classes visited the Beijing Auto Museum! During our visit the children got to see old cars and learn about China’s rich history in the automobile industry. They also saw a modern “smart” car which is basically self-operational. During the tour through the automobiles and motor vehicles of the past, the children reviewed the vocabulary they learned in class such as, “car, hood, headlight, taillight, wheels, drive, steering wheel, big car, motorbike, motorcycle, jeep…” plus their colors.The children were also delighted to see the wall of traffic signs and signals as they called out the name of each one, “Do not enter! Stop! Green means GO! Right turn! Left Turn! Caution/Be careful! No car beeping! Children cross! Etc… ” There was also a fully dismantled car suspended in air to show each and every part of the vehicle! And there was a section just for cars that were also featured in movies, which excited the children and Teachers! It was a great way to conclude our unit and reinforce learned language and concepts in a stimulating environment!十月底,国际小班的孩子们通过参观北京汽车博物馆结束了“交通工具”这个主题的学习。在参观中,孩子们看到了各种老式汽车,并且了解了许多中国汽车工业的发展历史。他们还看到了一辆基本可实现自动操作的“智能”汽车。在参观汽车和机动车的过程中,孩子们复习了他们在课堂上学到的词汇,如“汽车、引擎盖、头灯、尾灯、车轮、驱动器、方向盘、大汽车、摩托车、吉普车等”以及它们的颜色。孩子们看到墙上的交通标志和信号灯时特别高兴,他们叫出了每一个标志的名字,“禁止驶入!停车!绿灯通行!向右转!向左转!小心!禁止鸣笛!过马路!”等等......空中悬浮着的一辆全部拆解的汽车,向我们展示了汽车的每一个部件。那里还有一个专门展示电影中出现过的汽车的区域,这让孩子们和老师们兴奋不已!用这样的方式来总结我们的主题真的是太赞了!孩子们在这样一个环境里强化了学习过的语言和概念! ← 左滑查看中文版本
在“Sharing the Planet 共享地球”的主题下,老师引导孩子们在真实的生活环境下展开各项自发性、探究性与跨学科的学习。中班孩子们就如何通过“合作”来实现资源的有效“共享”展开了进一步的探究。随着深入学习,孩子们意识到了“水资源”的重要性。

During our recent field trip,the International K1 level children had the opportunity to visit Beijing's Water Saving Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall showcased various interactive displays and exhibits, which provided the children with a comprehensive understanding of the importance of water conservation and sustainable living. The children learned about different water-saving techniques, such as low-flow shower-heads and taps, and how to implement these daily practices. They also learned about the consequences of water wastage and how it can affect our environment. Moreover, the exhibition hall showcased the importance of sustainable living and how it can help us to reduce our carbon footprint. The children learned about the benefits of using renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and how these sources can help us reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The K2 gang took a field trip to the Car Museum in Beijing after a couple of months of learning all about tools and machines and how they make our lives easier.We had been focusing on the timeline of cars for quite some time during class, as it was something that particularly interested the children.We learned about the structure of the car, such as the framework, the wheels, the steering wheel, the windscreen and the engine.It was absolutely fascinating to see the progression from the first ever vehicle in the world right up until the modern day electric, Tesla that we so often see in our car park. Thumbs up to Elon Musk.There were so many cars from all over the world, right there in front of us! It was fabulous! No wonder Michael Schumacher loved driving. Hey, who knows, maybe in the future we might have professional formula one racers, right here at Meihua!在学习了两个月的工具和机器主题以及给我们的生活带来的便利之后,K2 班的孩子们去参观了北京汽车博物馆。我们在课堂上探究关于汽车的话题已经有一段时间了,孩子们对这个主题特别感兴趣。我们学习了汽车的结构,如车架、车轮、方向盘、挡风玻璃和发动机等。从世界上第一辆汽车到现代的、我们经常在停车场看到的特斯拉电动汽车,孩子们能亲眼目睹和见证汽车的发展过程真是令人兴奋!我们要为埃隆·马斯克点赞!那么多来自世界各地的汽车就在我们面前,真是太棒了!难怪迈克尔·舒马赫喜欢开车。嗨,谁知道呢,也许在未来,我们也可能会成为职业一级方程式赛车手,就在美华!
