详细内容
Background and Motivations:
Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) have emerged as vital technologies in global efforts to achieve a net-zero energy system and address the challenges of climate change. As the world faces the pressing need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, CCUS provides a promising solution. It involves capturing CO2 from various emission sources, utilizing it for beneficial purposes, and safely storing it underground.
This Joint Special Issue aims to explore the latest advancements in CCUS technologies and their integration with energy systems. We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their original research articles, perspectives, and reviews to contribute to this special issue to foster knowledge exchange and drive innovation in the field of CCUS.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
Carbon capture technologies
Carbon utilization and conversion
CO2 transportation and storage
Direct air capture (DAC)
Integration of CCUS technologies with energy systems
CCUS deployment towards green energy production
Life cycle analysis and environmental impact assessment of CCUS technologies
Policy, regulatory, and economic aspects of CCUS deployment and commercialization
CCUS risk assessment
Other innovative CCUS technologies in the transition to net-zero emissions
Manuscript submission information:
This is a joint special issue in journal Applied Energy and Advances in Applied Energy. If you have any queries on submitting in a joint special issue, kindly contact with the guest editors or Elsevier Content Acquisition Specialist at x.ge@elsevier.com.
We sincerely welcome manuscripts containing novel, high quality, and unpublished research results. The invited submissions will be processed and reviewed in the same way as open submissions. Both review article and original research article are welcome. All submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
Manuscript should be submitted via journal online submission system at: Editorial Manager by selecting the Article Type of "VSI: CCUS 2023". A detailed submission guideline is available as “Guide to Authors”.
Once your manuscript is accepted, it will go into production and will be simultaneously published in the current regular issue and pulled into the online Special Issue. Articles from this Special Issue will appear in different regular issues of the journal, though they will be clearly marked and branded as Special Issue articles.
