Monica: I think I'm gonna buy a new computer today.Noah: What kind are you gonna get?Monica: I'm not sure. You know a lot about computers. Can you help me?Noah: Sure. Do you want a laptop or a desktop computer?Monica: I think I need a laptop.Noah: Do you want a Mac or a PC?Monica: I’ve never used a Mac before.Noah: Then you'll probably want a PC.莫妮卡：我还不确定。你对电脑了解很多。能帮帮我吗？gonna [ˈgɔːnə, gənə] (spoken informal) a way of saying 'going to' “going to”的一种非正式形式This isn't gonna be easy. 这不会容易的。(Day 1052) Well of course smart, beautiful and confident women like that aren't gonna have a problem finding a partner! 嗯，像那样聪明、漂亮、自信的女人当然找伴侣不会有问题啦！get v. [get] to buy something 买Where did you get that jacket? 你在哪里买到那件夹克衫的？Joe's going to get tickets for all of us. 乔要给我们所有人都买票。While you're out, could you get me some batteries? 当你出去的时候，能不能帮我买些电池呢？(Day 1036) Could you run to the store to get me a few things? 你能帮我跑一趟商店买些东西吗？pick sth⇔up: buy sth, esp cheaply or luckily 买，买到（尤指价廉或运气好）She picked up a valuable first edition at a village book sale. 她在乡村图书展销会上买到一本珍贵的首版书。(Day 792) And I need to pick up a few daily necessities. 我还需要买一些日常必需品。(Day 934) Do you want me to pick up a sandwich for you? 你想让我给你买个三明治吗？purchase v. [ˈpɝːtʃəs] to buy something 购买，采购She purchased a number of shares in the company. 她在公司购买了许多股份。They purchased the land for $1 million. 他们以100万美元买下了这块土地。(Day 242) If you would like to purchase that separately, I can give you a real deal on it... 如果你想单独买保险的话，我可以给您实惠的价格。laptop n. [ˈlæptɑːp] [C] (also laptop computer) a small computer that you can carry with you 笔记本电脑desktop n. [ˈdesktɑːp] [C] (also desktop computer) a type of computer that is small enough to fit on the top of a desk 台式机，台式电脑Mac n. [mæk] [C] (Apple) Macintosh, a type of personal computer 苹果电脑Can you run this software on a Mac? 你能在苹果电脑上运行这个软件吗？(Day 371) Have you considered getting a Mac this time? 你考虑过这次买一台苹果电脑吗？PC n. [ˌpiːˈsiː] [C] personal computer, a computer that is used by one person at a time, either at home or at work 个人电脑，个人计算机Do you use a Mac or a PC? 你是用苹果机还是用PC？(Day 818) But I got my first PC in 1995. 但我的第一台电脑是在1995年买的。I guess: 1. Generally, it means yes, but without certainty. That is, if you think a statement is likely true, but don't know for sure, you might say, “I guess.” 可能吧‘Do you think I can win the first prize?’ ‘Hmm! I guess!’ “你觉得我会得一等奖吗？”“嗯！可能吧！”‘It's supposed to be sunny today, right?’ ‘I guess. I haven't checked the weather.’ “今天应该是晴天吧，对吗？”“可能吧。我没看天气预报呢。”I guess: 2. You say I guess to show that you are slightly uncertain or reluctant about what you are saying （语气不太确定）我想，我觉得，我认为I guess she thought that was pretty smart. 我想她可能认为那个很漂亮。(Day 760) As they say, ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, and I guess that is just as true for happiness. 就像人们说的：“情人眼里出西施”，我想这对于幸福来说也同样正确。I guess so / not: used to agree or disagree with a statement or question, but not very strongly 我想是的/应该不是的'You're one lucky guy.'
