其实人禽之辨，本不必这么严，在动物界，虽然不如古人所幻想的那样舒适自由，可是噜苏做作的事总比人间少，它们适应任性，对就是对，错就是错，不说一句分辨话。人呢，能直立了，自然是一大进步，能说话了，自然又是一大进步，然而也就堕落了，因为那时也开始说空话了。
In fact, the distinctions between humans and animals shouldn’t be so clear-cut. In the animal world, although life may not be so comfortable and easy just as the ancient people had imagined, it is surely less affected and more real than the human life. Instead of arguing, animals stay loyal to their natures in front of rights and wrongs. Humans, on the other side, reached their evolutionary heights by learning to stand up and later to talk , have then set on a declining journey by talking big and doing little.
1，“舒适自由”
原译文译成cozy and comfortable审稿觉得缺少“自由”的意思。在古人的想象中动物的世界闲散自由，无拘无束，没有现实中那么多烦恼，所以审稿倾向于翻译成comfortable and easy.简单又舒适，不用面对那么多复杂的人际关系。
2，“不说一句分辩话”
就是指动物靠动物的准则分辩对错，直接明了，而人会用花言巧语。所以动物不argue而是follow nature或者他们的rules， 而人类是要defend, argue, disguise even distort the facts.
3，原文中人类直立行走和语言都是进化史的进步，所以在翻译的过程中也应该体现出来。在这里审稿用了一点比喻，就是evolutionary heights是进化上的高光时刻，之后就一路暗淡，因为我们学会了空谈。
