李四一和同事一起装机装了好几个礼拜了，终于轮到收尾的部分了。收尾的部分是需要一直有人在隔几个小时进厂一次操作一下机台，因此需要倒班了。李四一和同事石头剪刀布决定了谁是夜班谁是白班。李四一自然而然地分到了夜班，需要上七天。
索性活挺轻松的，就是给机台测湿度和温度。他们会把一块装有湿度温度传感器的光罩放在机台里面，每隔一个半小时进无尘室收集一下数据，顺便再换个位置。
他们分的倒班时间是12小时9点到9点的。由于没有倒班补贴，只能把超过8小时的部分作为加班进行报销。
李四一一般晚上八点半就来到了半导体厂的大厅，大厅有一个沙发，李四一的同事就坐在沙发上等待着李四一，他和李四一把白天传感器光罩的位置进行了交接，交接完便离开了。正好也到该进去的时候了，李四一把手机一存，走向安检大门，李四一张开双手，任凭保安在身上拿着金属探测仪扫描，没有声音。保安安检完又坐回了椅子上面，拿起看了一半的小说开始仔细研读。
李四一熟练地穿戴好无尘服装，便往fab里面进去。由于他所在的光罩室洁净度要求比较高，还得经过第二道风淋室。正当李四一在第二道风淋室时候，突然停住了，前后门也没开。就像是卡在那里似的。李四一看着前面的标语，禁止两道门同时开启，违者罚款！
李四一也不敢贸然开启，可等半天也没什么反应，李四一只好按下了风淋室的红色按钮，这时候两道门都同时开启了，李四一赶紧从门前走去，可李四一这也没听到关门的声音，两道门就这样一直开着，李四一也管不了那么多了，干活要紧。
李四一到了机台面前，把光罩取了出了，连接上数据线开始拷贝上一笔的数据，拷贝完，又接着把光罩转移到下一个位置开始进行测量。
接着李四一又出去了，在大厅的沙发上坐着睡觉，定了个一个小时的闹钟等着下次进去。李四一闭上了双眼开始睡觉，一个小时很快就到了，李四一看了看时间确实到点了，又进fab了。李四一到第二道风淋室一看，两个门还是开着的，便直接进去了，也没管，虽然上面有电话可以拨打，但李四一还是想着多一事不如少一事，还是不管了。
李四一这么往往复复地进fab，终于挨到了白班过来交接，不过断断续续也睡了有几个小时，交接完，李四一立马回出租屋睡了。
白天中午接到了老板电话，说是被他们工安的稽核了，晚上同时开启两道门，不过领导给他解释过了，说两道门那会儿坏了，开不了，只能按reset了。老板让李四一好好睡觉。
李四一听完又继续睡了，白天把遮光帘一拉，和夜晚没什么两样，睡吧，在梦中可能就不用上夜班了。
一醒来，还剩6天的夜班，李四一就这样在夜班的fab和大厅的沙发上徘徊了7天，好在最后数据结果显示湿度和温度都达标，不用再夜班收集数据了！
