东画廊荣幸宣布艺术家黄芳翎执导的跨媒体交互戏剧《安娜·高布乐》即将在上海YOUNG剧场上演。这部戏试图通过在YOUNG剧场“实时”发生的两部著名作品的演练,探讨面对技术与时间问题时,人类对于新事物发展速度的反应,以及身体和情绪交织的探索。

Don Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming performance of Anna Gabler, a cross-media interactive theatre directed by artist HUANG Fangling, at YOUNG Theater in Shanghai. The theatre attempts to explore the human reaction to the speed of new things and the intertwining of body and emotion in the face of technology and time through the rehearsal of two famous works that take place in "real time" at YOUNG Theater.

俄国文学家列夫·托尔斯泰的代表作《安娜·卡列尼娜》和挪威剧作家易卜生后期最受欢迎的作品之一《海达·高布乐》中,女性主角都有极强的个性与追求,却又同时拥有充斥着各种矛盾的命运。安娜带有资产阶级个性解放色彩,在人格不断独立的过程里追求着自身的幸福。而海达·高布乐身上带着没落阶级的烙印,对美与自由的渴望与平庸现实的不协调令她饱受折磨。这两位远超于一般戏剧的复杂女性形象,在不同的时空中有着些许命运上的相似或联系,关于出身、爱情、女性、疼痛、分娩、死亡,她们命运的重叠与分离……

In Anna Karenina, the masterpiece of Russian writer Lev Tolstoy, and Hedda Gabler, one of the most popular works of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen in his later period, the female protagonists have strong personalities and pursuits, but at the same time possess destinies full of contradictions. Anna, with her bourgeois emancipation of personality, pursues her own happiness in the process of continuous independence of personality. Hedda Gabler, on the other hand, bears the mark of the lower class, and is tormented by the incongruity between her desire for beauty and freedom and the reality of mediocrity. These two complex female figures, far beyond the average theater, share a slight similarity or connection of destiny in different time and space, about birth, love, femininity, pain, childbirth, death, the overlap and separation of their destinies ......

因此,依托这两部著作诞生的优秀舞台作品不胜枚举。即将在YOUNG剧场上演的《安娜·高布乐》就是一部基于这两本著作创作的戏剧作品。主创将《安娜·卡列尼娜》和《海达·高布乐》的精髓提炼、融合并对照,改编为跨媒体交互戏剧,试图通过现代技术手段,呈现出更加生动、立体的女性视角下的故事。

As a result, there have been numerous outstanding stage productions based on these two books. The upcoming production of Anna Gabler at the YOUNG Theater is a theatrical work based on these two books. The creators have refined, fused and contrasted the essence of Anna Karenina and Hedda Gabler into a cross-media interactive theater, trying to present a more vivid and three-dimensional story from a woman's point of view by means of modern technology.

小说《安娜·卡列尼娜》诞生后,把19世纪的批判现实主义推向了最高峰,引起了“一场真正的社会大爆炸”。围绕贵族妇女安娜所描写的一切,都成了百年来人们了解那个时代的“教科书”。而《海达•高布乐》作为易卜生晚期象征主义戏剧的代表作之一,围绕海达展开的关于“理想与现实”的对峙,有着跨越种族和时代的讨论价值。《安娜·高布乐》则采用双空间并行的表演形式,试图用空间的解构与重构、虚与实的场域切换、技术的介入,结合多维度拍摄和声音复原方式,将现场演出、戏剧、声音、影像、装置多元素材料融为一体,把两部文学、戏剧巨著以更为当代的方式阐释,给予观众一些属于当下的思考。

The birth of the novel Anna Karenina pushed 19th century critical realism to its peak, causing "a real social explosion". Everything about the aristocratic woman Anna has become a "textbook" for people to understand the era for centuries. Hedda Gabler, as one of Ibsen's masterpieces of late Symbolist drama, has the value of transcending race and time with its confrontation of "ideal and reality" around Hedda. Anna Gabler, on the other hand, adopts a dual-space parallel performance form, attempting to use spatial deconstruction and reconstruction, switching between virtual and real fields, and technological interventions, combined with multi-dimensional filming and sound restoration, to integrate live performances, theater, sound, video, and installations, and to interpret the two literary and theatrical masterpieces in a more contemporary way, giving the audience something to think about at the present time.

黄芳翎 HUANG Fangling 

目前工作、生活于上海。戏剧演员、导演。同时作为一名艺术家、近年来活跃于当代艺术领域。她以长期受训的身体为媒介,将现场演出、戏剧、声音、影像、装置多元素材料融为一体,打破固有的观演习惯与观展形式。她以a.f.art theatreFangling为名所进行的艺术项目包括:《Struggle》(香港巴塞尔艺术展“光映现场”【Film】,香港,2018);个展《失重》(东画廊,上海,2018);《“重点注视”第十一届上海双年展“何不再问”项目【理论剧院】》(上海当代艺术博物馆,上海,2017);《......之间》(ZKR—比斯多尔夫城堡艺术与公共空间中心与Löwenpalais,柏林,2017年);《感性游览》(上海外滩美术馆,上海,2016);《女仆在飞地》(上海当代艺术馆艺术亭台,上海,2015)等。
HUANG Fangling currently works and lives in Shanghai. She is a theatre actress, director, and an artist active in the field of contemporary art in recent years. Using her long-trained body as a medium, she combines live performance, theatre, sound, video, and installation into one multi-element material, breaking the inherent habit of viewing performance and exhibition. Her artistic projects under the name a.f.art theatreFangling include “Struggle”(Art Basel Hong Kong [Film], Hong Kong, 2018); solo exhibition “Weightless” (Don Gallery, Shanghai, 2018); and "Focused Attention" 11th Shanghai Biennale "Why Not Ask Again" Project [Theatre of Theory]" (Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai, 2017); "......
