生命的外部世界在自然的万象更替中延展出无限的可能性。在移民、迁徙、游牧、分离和对抗的体验中，内心不断生长出另一个地方。何以为家？家在别处。Elsewhere 不仅指代地理概念上的“另一个地方”，它也代表了一切关于自我、存在、自由与未知的探险和旅程。
The external world of life unfolds endless possibilities amidst the ever-changing phenomena of nature. Through experiences of migration, displacement, nomadism, separation, and confrontation, our inner life continually grows into another realm. What constitutes home? Home is elsewhere. Elsewhere not only refers to a geographical other place but also embodies explorations and journeys into the self, existence, freedom, and the unknown.

2024露丝国际艺术节以“在别处”为主题，在英国北威尔士的露丝小镇建构出一个“第三空间”。在这里，艺术不再局限于传统媒介和固定场所，而是流动于城镇与自然之间，漂泊在真实与虚幻之中。Elsewhere 关乎人类对自身处境的反思与重构，也涉及对空间、时间、身体和心理多重维度的想象。本届露丝国际艺术节在露丝小镇发起了一次跨越地域和文化的冒险，邀请了来自全球40多个国家和地区的203位艺术家参与。他们通过与当地社区和自然景观的互动，并邀请居民共同体验艺术创作的生成过程，创造出一个动态、流动的艺术现场，传递出兼具身体性和感性的艺术体验。
Ruthin International Arts Festival 2024 adopts “Elsewhere” as its theme, creating a third space in the town of Ruthin in North Wales, UK. Here, art transcends traditional mediums and fixed locations, flowing between the town and nature, drifting between reality and illusion. Elsewhere pertains not only to reflections and reconstructions of one’s own circumstances but also to the imagination of multiple dimensions of space, time, body, and psyche. RIAF 2024 launches an adventure that spans regions and cultures, inviting 203 artists from over 40 countries and regions worldwide. Through interactions with the local community and natural landscapes and involving residents in the artistic creation, the artists have crafted a dynamic, ever-changing artistic site, conveying a more physical and sensory art experience.

作为本次露丝国际艺术节平行展，"Elsewhere: 16 Curzon"，将“别处”的概念延展至一个全新的维度，并将其带到另一个陌生的地方。本次参展作品将时间、空间、生命经验、文化环境和社会意识织入艺术创作中，并以独特的方式回应艺术家们所处环境的自然特征和社会文化。这些艺术家探索了超越传统媒介的新途径，通过声音、光影、装置、绘画和行为艺术，带领观众穿越现实与想象的边界。在游牧精神、在地性与媒介多样性的交汇中，展览分享了我们内心深处对“别处”的共鸣与渴望。在瞬息万变的景观中，重新定义自我和他者，寻找回应生命内心的答案与真相。
The parallel exhibition of RIAF 2024, Elsewhere: 16 Curzon, extends the concept of Elsewhere to a new dimension, bringing this notion to a fresh locale. The exhibited works weave time, space, life experiences, cultural contexts, and social consciousness into their creation, responding uniquely to their environments' social, cultural, and natural characteristics. The artists explore new paths beyond traditional mediums, employing sound, light, installations, paintings, and performance art to guide the audience across the boundaries of reality and imagination. In the intersection of nomadism, site-specificity, and medium diversity, the exhibition showcases our internal resonance and yearning for Elsewhere, redefining self and others within the variable landscapes and seeking the primordial answers and truths of inner life.
