李四一和温拓海落地的机场先是在海关处排起了长长的队伍，不过温拓海由于有美国护照直接走了本国人通道，李四一独自一人等待海关的问询。轮到李四一是一个和李四一一样黄皮肤的亚洲人，他问李四一为什么会出现在这里。

海关听了李四一的回答也满意地点点头,放行了，之后李四一便看见温拓海拉着行李在出口处等他。他们出了机场打了个车便前往他们的暂住的地方，离李四一需要工作的工厂大概10英里的一处公寓。

到了公寓李四一整理整理了行李便洗了个澡，准备入睡了，他和温拓海也告别了，温拓海回了自己在美国的房子里面。第二天李四一还要去面试，他在床上定了个闹钟便入睡了。

李四一早早地起床了，在便利店买了个面包，牛奶就是早餐了。李四一骑着自行车便向半导体厂奔去。

李四一到工厂门口时是7:45，他找到大厅的管门禁的大姐说明了自己是来面试的，接着大姐便让他等一等了。等了5分钟以后，一个穿着条纹衬衫的黑人小哥过来和李四一打了个招呼，他就是公司的HR-Chris ,他把李四一带到了办公楼的一个小会议室里面，工厂的制造部主管已经在等李四一了。接下来就是轻松的面试环节了，李四一自我介绍了一波。

主管问李四一为什么选择半导体行业呢？

李四一回答道，因为感兴趣，李四一把自己在少管所看了半导体制造一书开始感兴趣的过程和主管讲了，主管夸李四一英语好，不像是外国来的，李四一说是少管所里面的老师朋友教的好，学到真东西了。

主管结果说自己之前也进过少管所，关了一年放出来了，有些相似经历的两人相谈甚欢，主管当即决定把李四一录取了，说道今天刚好有安全培训和无尘室培训，应该能赶上，下午带李四一去厂里熟悉熟悉环境。

李四一培训完，在公司食堂打了点沙拉，一个披萨，就当是午饭了，李四一看公司里面很多同事都是自己带饭，微波炉一热的。

下午李四一就跟着主管进了fab,主管告诉他工作很简单，他们是8寸厂，把wafer cassette 放到机台固定的位置上，扫码枪一扫，机台就开始运作了，等一卡wafer跑完再把cassette从机台上面拿下来。

李四一很机灵，一下子就懂得了怎么去操作。主管带着李四一整个fab都逛了一下，fab看着挺大的，得多熟悉熟悉才不会迷路吧。到了下午五点了，主管说要下班了。李四一便跟着主管出了fab，他也准备回去了，李四一骑着自行车，慢悠悠地在街上溜达，偶尔在路口还有举着牌子要饭的流浪汉看着李四一，李四一摇摇头。

第二天开始，李四一便开始了半导体fab的倒班生活了，每天长时间，重复的动作让李四一觉得自己和眼前的机器没什么区别，有时候甚至怀疑自己是不是也是这个工厂的机台，是fab的一部分。李四一在倒了半年的班之后和领导说他要转去设备部门修设备，整天搬运cassette，扫码，电脑上点一点感觉学不了太多的东西，不是他想象中的半导体生活。

领导也是很支持他的发展，让李四一转去设备组了。于是李四一每天的工作和便是和坏掉机台打交道了，接来自产线上的电话，哪里有问题，就去哪里维修。

经过两年时间的打磨，李四一成功掌握了fab里大大小小设备的原理，和维修诊断技术，成了半导体厂里的一颗耀眼明星。不过李四一也是经常收到来自生产的压迫，怎么还没修好？什么时候还能修好？

面对这些催命符，李四一也只好加紧维修诊断的速度，用结果去回应他们的催。当修好的时候，李四一能从他们的语言中听到感激之情。李四一也成功每年晋升一级，薪水也是水涨船高。

李四一每隔一个月还会和温拓海见一次面，有时候在泰国餐厅，有时候在越南餐厅，有时候在难吃的自助中餐厅，有时候在麦当劳,windy's ........

温拓海最近在准备上大学的事情，他建议李四一也去读个大学，对他的工作会有帮助的。李四一也是听了下来，要读就读最好的大学，美国哪个大学最好？
