George Yeoman Pocock, the master boat builder, once said, “In a sport like this—hard work, not much glory, but still popular in every century—well, there must be some beauty which ordinary men can’t see, but extraordinary men do.”
As one of WASCZ's unique sports, our students and teachers will have the opportunity to compete for the glory of rowing -- a sport full of the beauty of strength and balance, on the Grand Canal.
Up to now, about 300 participants from various clubs, well-known universities, sports schools, and international schools, including WASCZ, will compete for glory and show their talents on the Grand Canal.
WASCZ students will participate in the Junior category. Their commitment to their day-to-day training will be evident as they check the results of their hard work in the racecourse’s morning light. Our teachers, equally dedicated, will also prepare for the Adult category. Together, our ‘good rowers’ will work hard, strive and fight for a common goal on the blue waves, using their skills to pursue their dreams as oarsmen and women.

In addition, we will also showcase the artistic talents of our students in a WAS art exhibition with the theme of 'Environment'. This exhibition will not only embellish the race with the beauty of art but also reflect our students' profound understanding of humanity and nature, making it a must-see for all attendees.
Our teachers and students will also hold an exceptional music performance. Their notes and singing voices will ignite the passion of the race, adding to the thrill of the students and teachers in the races. Their performance will be a highlight of the event, promising an exciting and engaging experience for all.
