The knock at the door was sharp and insistent. Finch froze, his eyes darting to the glowing clock in Eliza’s hands.
“Stay here,” he said firmly, his voice low. He moved toward the door, his steps deliberate and tense.
Eliza watched as he opened the door a crack, revealing a figure cloaked in black. It was Radcliffe.
“I told you,” Finch said, his voice tight, “the clock is not for sale.”
Radcliffe chuckled, a sound that sent a chill down Eliza’s spine. “I’m not here to bargain, Finch. I’m here to claim what’s rightfully mine.”
From her hiding spot in the workshop, Eliza’s grip tightened on the guardian clock. She couldn’t let Radcliffe take it, not after everything Finch had taught her.
Suddenly, Finch raised his voice. “You’ve no right to be here. Leave, now!”
But Radcliffe only smirked. “You can’t stop me forever, old man.” He glanced past Finch, his sharp eyes scanning the room. “And I see you’ve taken on an apprentice. Brave choice, considering what’s coming.”
Eliza’s heart pounded as Radcliffe stepped closer to the door. Finch blocked his path, his stance unwavering. “You’ll regret this, Finch,” Radcliffe said before turning and disappearing into the night.
When Finch returned to the workshop, his expression was grave. “Pack your things, Eliza,” he said quietly. “It’s not safe here anymore.”

躲在工作间里的伊莱莎，握紧了手中的守护者之钟。她不能让拉德克里夫带走它，尤其是在芬奇教会她所有这些之后。
突然间，芬奇提高了声音。“你没有权利出现在这里。现在就走！”
但拉德克里夫只是冷笑了一下。“你不可能永远阻止我，老家伙。”他越过芬奇，目光锐利地扫视着房间。“看样子，你还收了个学徒。考虑到接下来的事情，这倒是挺勇敢的选择。”
伊莱莎的心跳得飞快，拉德克里夫向门靠近了一步，但芬奇挡在他面前，姿态坚如磐石。“你会后悔的，芬奇，”拉德克里夫说，然后转身消失在夜色中。
当芬奇回到工作间时，脸色阴沉。“收拾你的东西，伊莱莎，”他轻声说道，“这里已经不安全了。”
