The work of 2023-2024 academic year scholarship evaluation is about to begin, please pay attention to the following information:
SIE offers two types of Scholarship:
Ⅰ.University-level Scholarship,
Ⅱ.Single Award.
*Jiangsu Governmental Scholarship will be issued according to the students overall scores and quotas in different batches, no need for separate application.
2. Eligible students will be ranked based on the Final score(F) which consists of the following three different parts. Final score is calculated as the equation below:
F=F1*70%+F2*20%+F3*10%
a) Academic score(F1): Grade-Point-Average of last academic year. F1=Σ[course score]*[course credit]/ Σ[course credit]. This score will be provided by SIE Teaching Affairs Department, no need to calculate by student.
b) Comprehensive score(F2): Summary of monitor contribution, activity experience, HSK performance and scientific research achievement.
① Monitor contribution (maximum score 4.5);
② Activity experience: from all kinds of academic and non-academic activities, voluntary work, sports games, artistic performances etc. evaluate based on the certificate or reward. (maximum score 25.0);
③ HSK performance (maximum score 6.0)
④ Scientific research achievement: publishing papers, patents, monographs (maximum score15.0)
c) Daily performance(F3): Coordinators will give score according to students’ daily performance at school. (maximum score 10.0)
*The date of these certificates must be between 2023-09-01 to 2024-09-01.
2. Single Award includes [HSK], [Outstanding Monitor], [All-kinds of activities] and [Academic progress].
*Postgraduate students are only eligible for applying [Outstanding Monitor] and [All-kinds of activities] awards.
3. Condition of Disqualification
-Students who failed any courses (deferred exam not count) in year 2023-2024 will lose the eligibility of Scholarship.
-Students who got any level of formal punishments will lose the eligibility of Scholarship.
-Students who delayed graduation (2018 batch and more senior MBBS students, 2020 batch and more senior Nursing students)
4. Student who wish to compete for scholarship please fill and submit the form with your supportive evidences (PDF version, name your file as "student ID+ name") to your monitors. The deadline of submission of all materials is 25th October.
