十一月的海南浪静风恬，十一月的枫叶丹桂飘香。2024年11月19日下午，国际教育日暨第六届枫叶英语演讲比赛海南赛区复赛圆满落幕，历经年级海选-学部初赛的层层选拔，来自海枫与江东两个校区共29名选手登上海南赛区复赛舞台，选手们流利地道的英语表达，激情满怀的自我展现，体现了枫叶学子的自信风采，彰显了枫叶英语的独特魅力。
The waves of Hainan in November are quiet and calm, the campus of Maple Leaf is full of fragrance. The International Day of Education and 6th Maple Leaf Speech Contest Semi-final at MLESD-Hainan was held successfully on November 19th ,2024. 29 Contestants from Haifeng and Jiangdong campus go through a series of rounds of selection before stepping onto the stage of the Semi-final.

外方校长Yashar Karamati先生担任评委主席，来自两个校区的8名外教老师组成专业评审团队。
The guests participating in this event were Ms. Jinying Wang, CEO and President of Hainan Maple Leaf Education District, principals from Haifeng and Jiangdong campus. Mr. Yashar Karamati, WS Principal of Hainan Campus and other 8 International teachers from two campus served as judges.

本次比赛的主题结合奥运时事，旨在鼓励学生深入思考并表达对奥林匹克精神的理解，发现奥林匹克精神与中国传统文化价值观的契合点，学习奥林匹克精神并应用在学习生活的方方面面。
The theme of the contest combined with the Olympic current affairs, aims to encourage students to think deeply and express their understanding of the Olympic spirit, to find the match point between the Olympic spirit and the values of Chinese traditional culture, and to study the Olympic spirit and apply it in all aspects of study and life.

初中组和强化年级组的选手精心准备讲稿，用流畅的英文向观众展现了他们对追求卓越，超越自我的认识；对如何在竞争中尊重对手，在学习生活中寻求合作的理解，他们用实际行动诠释着奥林匹克竞技精神的要义。
Contestants from Middle School group and ESL group were required to give 3 minutes of a given topic speech and answer judges' questions. They prepared their speech carefully and presented a sense of striving for excellence and beyond self; An understanding of how to respect your opponents in competition and seek cooperation in their learning life. They interpreted the essence of the athletic spirit with practical actions.
高中组（10-11年级）
时间：4分钟
形式：现场即兴演讲+回答评委1-2个问题
高中组选手需完成4分钟即兴演讲并回答评委提问。他们台风自信，立意新颖，他们用深入浅出的讲解为观众展现了奥林匹克精神与中国传统文化中的“自强不息”、“厚德载物”等价值观相契合。选手们回答评委提问逻辑清晰，思维敏捷，充分展现了枫叶学子的精神风貌。
The high school group was required to complete 4 minutes of impromptu speeches and answer questions from the judges. They are confident, creative topics and in-depth explanations, they have a clear logic in answering judges' questions. They fully demonstrating the spirit of Maple Leaf students.
选手演讲后，国际高中世界课程校长Yashar Karamati先生作为专家评委代表对本次演讲决赛进行了专业点评。他从选手们演讲的内容、表达流利度及舞台表现力等多方面给予了高度的评价，并就如何提升演讲水平给予了选手们专业性的指导。
Mr. Karamati, as the representative of the professional judges, gave the professional comments on this speech contest. He commented that the contestants' idea and content, delivery and fluency, and the stage presence were better than before. Then, he gave some professional guidance on how to deliver a better English speech.
最后，海南枫叶教育大区英语中心总监黄湘衡女士公布了比赛结果，嘉宾领导为获奖选手颁奖。
After that, Ms. Selena Huang, Director of ESL Research Center of MLIS-Hainan announced the results, principals from Hainan and Jiangdong campus were given rewards to winners.
经过激烈的角逐，比赛最终评出一等奖5名，二等奖5名，三等奖5名，以及优秀奖14名。一等奖选手将会代表海南大区参加枫叶集团总决赛。
After fierce comtest, 5 contestants won the First Prize, 5 contestants won the Second Prize, 5 contestants won the Third Prize, and 14 contestants won the Excellence Prize. All the First Prize winners will take part in the Final contest.
一张张青春洋溢的笑脸，一份份璀璨耀眼的证书，在这样一个一年好景君须记，最是橙黄橘绿时的美好时节，在美丽与智慧碰撞的报告厅，国际教育日暨第六届枫叶英语演讲比赛海南赛区复赛圆满落幕！这次大赛不仅展示了枫叶学子的英语风采，更激发了枫叶人学习英语的热情与动力。
We are happy to gather with studnets in this beautiful school at such a wonderful time of the year, to witness the wonderful moments for all winners, International Day of Education and the 6th Maple Leaf English Speech Contest Semi-final in MLESD-Hainan came to a successful conclusion.
