In the new semester when the autumn mood is getting stronger and is full of hope and vitality, the English Center of MLIS-Hainan middle school opened a new door of knowledge for students with a unique theme activity. On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the students of Class 1 and Class 4 of Grade 8 took the lead in playing the exciting movement of the English Day theme activity "Intelligently Explore Universities, Let Learning Flourish in MLIS" of this semester.
活动现场，气氛热烈而充满活力。各个小组的成员们早在活动前就精心筹备，从资料收集到PPT制作，从手抄报设计到演讲排练，每一个环节都倾注了他们的热情与心血。当他们站在讲台上，用流利的英语向同学们介绍自己向往的大学时，那自信的模样仿佛闪耀的星辰。
At the event site, the atmosphere was warm and energetic. Members of each group had carefully prepared before the event. From data collection to PPT production, from handwritten newspaper design to speech rehearsal, every link was filled with their enthusiasm and hard work. When they stood on the podium and introduced the universities they yearned for to their classmates in fluent English, their confident looks were like shining stars.
他们介绍的大学丰富多彩，有世界顶尖学府新加坡国立大学，其在科研领域的卓越成就令人瞩目；有以创新和科技闻名的麻省理工学院，激发着同学们对科学技术的无限向往；古老而庄重的牛津大学，承载着深厚的历史文化底蕴；还有大名鼎鼎的哈佛大学，那是无数人心中的学术殿堂。而国内的海南大学，展现出本土高校的独特魅力；复旦大学的人文气息、武汉大学的美丽校园、中山大学的学术风范、清华大学的卓越科研、北京大学的深厚底蕴，也都让同学们心驰神往。
The universities they introduced were rich and colorful. There was the world's top university, National University of Singapore, whose outstanding achievements in the field of scientific research were remarkable; there was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, known for its innovation and technology, inspiring students' unlimited yearning for science and technology; the ancient and solemn University of Oxford, carrying a profound historical and cultural heritage; and the famous Harvard University, which was the academic palace in the hearts of countless people. And Hainan University in China showed the unique charm of local universities; the humanistic atmosphere of Fu Dan University, the beautiful campus of Wuhan University, the academic style of Sun Yat-sen University, the outstanding scientific research of Tsinghua University, and the profound heritage of Peking University also made students' hearts yearn.
