“give lip”是什么意思
lip除了表示“嘴唇” ，在口语里还能表示“失礼的话，唐突的言语”。
因此，give lip 可以翻译为：顶嘴
Example：Don't give me lip, young man! You need to follow the rules.
Translation：年轻人，别跟我顶嘴！你得遵守规则。
