On December 17, 2024, the tragic death of a 25-year-old female livestreamer, known by her screen name "Ku Xuan," shocked the internet and sent waves of speculation across social media platforms. The news of her passing quickly gained attention, becoming a trending topic as people expressed disbelief and sorrow over the untimely death of such a young and talented individual.

Ku Xuan, a popular streamer on the Huya platform, was reported to have died on December 13, 2024, under mysterious circumstances. While an official obituary confirmed her death, it only mentioned that she passed away unexpectedly at the age of 25, leaving the cause of death unclear. This lack of detail sparked numerous rumors and theories online, with one particular story gaining traction.

According to unverified reports circulating on social media, a prominent fan who frequently donated to Ku Xuan's livestreams became infatuated with her. Allegedly, after the streamer turned down his advances, the fan, described as a "big brother" figure from her live-streaming platform, became enraged and traveled to her residence, where he allegedly murdered her in a fit of rage.

These rumors quickly fueled public speculation, with many users expressing concern over the safety of livestreamers in China, particularly in light of this tragic event. The online community's response highlighted fears over the vulnerability of individuals in the industry, who often interact with their audience through live chats and virtual gifting systems, creating unique opportunities for both support and potential danger.

The police in Shanghai have since confirmed the death but have not yet provided a detailed investigation report.
