"the straw that breaks the camel's back" 或者简化为 "the last straw"。这个成语用来描述一系列问题或负担中的最后一件事，这件事虽小，但却使人无法承受，导致崩溃。中文中我们通常说：压倒骆驼的最后一根稻草。
具体例子：
"I've been putting up with my neighbor's noise for months, but when they started playing music at 3 AM, that was the last straw. I had to call the police." （我已经忍受邻居的噪音好几个月了，但是当他们在凌晨3点开始放音乐时，那真是最后一根稻草。我不得不报警。）
"After years of working long hours with no raise, the new policy of unpaid overtime was the final straw that broke the camel's back, and many employees decided to unionize." （在多年长时间工作没有加薪之后，新的无偿加班政策是压垮骆驼的最后一根稻草，许多员工决定组织工会。）
"The team had already lost several key players, and then the injury to the captain was the last straw that broke the camel's back, leading to a disappointing season." （球队已经失去了几名关键球员，然后队长的受伤是压垮骆驼的最后一根稻草，导致一个令人失望的赛季。）
