Khalistani extremists in Canada have taken their rhetoric to a new level, targeting white Canadians in a video that has sparked outrage online. The video, reportedly filmed during a 'Nagar Kirtan' procession in Surrey, British Columbia, shows a man declaring, “White people are invaders,” and demanding they “go back to England and Europe.”
The two-minute clip, widely circulated on social media, features a procession of individuals carrying Khalistan flags as songs play in the background. The man behind the camera, alleged to be a Khalistan sympathizer, calls for "likes and shares" while shouting inflammatory remarks. "This is Canada, our own country," he says. "You [white Canadians] go back."
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Daniel Bordman, who condemned the remarks, questioning how such extremists influence Canada's foreign policy. In his post, Bordman wrote, “Khalistanis march around Surrey BC claiming ‘we are the owners of Canada’ and ‘white people should go back to Europe and Israel.’”
This incident occurs amidst already strained relations between Canada and India. The diplomatic row began in September last year when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Indian agents of involvement in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen. India dismissed the claims as "absurd" and pointed to Canada’s failure to curb pro-Khalistan activities on its soil.
Both nations have since expelled senior diplomats, and tensions remain high. India has repeatedly urged Canada to address what it calls "pro-Khalistan extremism" within its borders, accusing the country of allowing such groups to operate with impunity.
The controversy has coincided with a rise in anti-Hindu incidents in Canada. On November 3, extremists carrying Khalistan flags disrupted a Hindu Sabha temple event in Brampton, Ontario, which had been co-organized by the temple and the Indian Consulate. The clash saw devotees attacked and religious activities interrupted.
