About the position
Start Date: September/October 2025
Duration: 3 years (fully funded)
The Clermont Auvergne University (UCA) invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in the field of algorithmics and graph theory. Prior to the PhD, there is an option to complete a Master 2 internship starting in February/March 2025.
The successful candidate will focus on designing enumeration algorithms for combinatorial graph problems, with possible intersections in approximation algorithms, parameterized complexity, and online algorithms.

The candidate will join LIMOS Laboratory and a dynamic, young team specializing in algorithmics (Team Website).
Stipend:
Fully funded for 3 years.
Requirement
Education:
A Master's degree (completed or near completion) in:
Applied Mathematics
Computer Science
Operations Research
Engineering or related fields
Preferred Skills:
Strong background in discrete mathematics, graph theory, algorithm design, or computational complexity.
Passion for publishing in high-quality theoretical computer science conferences and journals (CORE A/A*).
Language Requirements:
Knowledge of French is not required; daily communication in English is fully supported.
