About this position
Several postdoc positions are open at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), with flexible start dates. The successful candidates will work directly with the hiring faculty and engage in research tailored to shared interests in advanced topics.
Areas of Research Interest:
Information Measures
Concentration of Measure in non-classical settings (non-iid data)
Information-Theoretic Bounds on the generalisation error of learning algorithms
Estimation Theory
Hypothesis Testing in non-classical settings
Estimation and Prediction in biological contexts
Properties of Markovian and Non-Markovian Operators on probability measures (e.g., contraction properties)
Variational Characterisations of Information Measures

Requirement
Strong knowledge in measure theory and functional analysis is highly valued.
