A disturbing video of a teenage boy violently attacking his mother in eastern China has sparked outrage among viewers, with over 5 million people watching the footage. The incident took place on September 15 in a residential compound in Shandong province.
The video shows the boy chasing his mother, hurling insults, and repeatedly kicking her. Despite her attempts to flee, the teenager relentlessly pursued her until security guards from the compound intervened. They physically restrained the boy and called the police, who arrived shortly afterward. Even while being held by security personnel, the enraged boy continued to lunge at his mother.
Eyewitnesses reported that the outburst was triggered by the mother’s refusal to give her son money. Locals noted that the woman had recently divorced the boy's father and had spoiled her son following the separation. Despite the assault, she did not fight back and even told onlookers not to interfere.
The incident has raised widespread concern online. Many netizens expressed anger and fear for the mother’s safety, with one commenter warning, “He will definitely do it again. If not properly disciplined, he could cause more harm to society.” Others criticized the mother for her parenting, citing an old Chinese saying: “Where there is a kind mother, there is a useless son.”
Viewers also expressed sadness after noticing a visible scar from the woman’s caesarean section, exposed during the altercation with her son.
