A woman has been arrested for arranging a Valentine's Day threesome for her boyfriend with a prostitute after the sex worker expressed shock over the couple's requests.
The 35-year-old woman and her 25-year-old boyfriend, both unnamed, contacted a prostitute to join them in their hotel room in Stockholm on Valentine's Day. However, the first sex worker they contacted failed to show up, and they eventually hired a 29-year-old Romanian sex worker living in Bucharest, who frequently works in Sweden.
The sex worker claimed the couple asked for "disgusting things," and that the woman was "open-minded" but made excessive demands, requesting many favors. After spending 40 minutes with them, the sex worker decided to leave, stating that she "mostly wanted it to end quickly so I could leave." She was paid 2,500 kronor (approximately $170) for her services via PayPal.
The incident came to light when police confronted the woman in August. She confessed immediately, explaining that the experience was something she and her boyfriend had decided to try together, hoping to explore something new. The boyfriend, however, initially denied any involvement, claiming he did not remember buying sex in Stockholm and was in a state of shock. Later, he admitted that they had indeed purchased sex that evening, acknowledging that this was not their first time seeking the services of a sex worker, referencing a similar experience in Hamburg, where prostitution is legal.
Swedish prosecutors have recommended a suspended sentence and fines for the couple. They are urging Nacka District Court to impose a fine of 14,000 kronor ($900) on the woman and 2,000 kronor ($130) on the man for their actions.
