As the flame of this summer's Paralympic（残奥会） Games flickered out（熄灭） on the 8th of September in the French capital, signaling the end of more than 10 days of intense competition. Team China concluded its campaign with 94 gold, 76 silver and 50 bronze medals, setting multiple world records across sports including swimming, athletics and cycling.
9月8日，本届夏季残奥会的圣火在法国首都熄灭，标志着10多天的激烈比赛落下帷幕。中国队以94金、76银、50铜的成绩结束了本届残奥会，并在游泳、田径和自行车等项目上创造了多项世界纪录。
From Athens 2004 to Paris 2024, China's Paralympic delegation（代表团） has maintained its dominance in six consecutive（连续的） Summer Games, winning the highest number of gold medals each time and retaining the top spot in the overall medal tally（记录）.

The 11th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress（代表大会）, which concluded on Sep.13, approved a decision to raise the retirement age of male workers to 63, and females to 55 or 58, depending on their jobs or occupations.
9月13日闭幕的第十四届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第十一次会议通过了一项决定，根据不同的工作或职业，将男性工人的退休年龄提高到63岁，女性提高到55岁或58岁。
China will progressively raise the statutory（法定的） retirement age in next 15 years starting from 2025, after conducting thorough research of the nation's current population structure and people's health condition, with the move aiming to facilitate more reasonable and better use of human resources.
在对我国目前的人口结构和人民健康状况进行深入研究后，中国将从2025年开始，在未来15年内逐步提高法定退休年龄，此举旨在更合理地利用人力资源。

Bebinca, the 13th typhoon of this year, hit Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area in Pudong New Area early on Monday morning with wind speeds reaching 42 meters per second, surpassing（超出） typhoon Gloria to become the strongest to hit Shanghai since 1949.
今年第13号台风“贝碧嘉”于周一凌晨登陆了上海浦东临港地区，风速达到每秒42米，超过台风“格洛丽亚”，成为建国以来袭击上海的最强台风。
As the center of typhoon Bebinca left Shanghai at noon, the all-out preparations and efforts made by people from all walks of life had paid dividends（红利）.Despite the lingering（拖延的） impact of the strongest typhoon to make landfall（登陆） in Shanghai since 1949, life and traffic were resuming gradually after typhoon.
台风中心于中午离开上海，各行各业的预防工作取得了显著成效。尽管这个建国以来最强台风的影响仍在持续，但台风过后的居民生活和交通已逐渐恢复。
