China successfully lands
reusable experimental spacecraft
我国可重复使用试验航天器成功着陆
A reusable experimental spacecraft successfully returned to its scheduled landing site on Friday.
周五，一艘可重复使用的试验航天器成功返回预定着陆点。
The spacecraft, which launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, returned after 268 days of in-orbit operation.
该航天器从中国西北部的酒泉卫星发射中心发射，在轨道运行268天后返回。
The success of the experiment demonstrates the growing maturity of China's reusable spacecraft technologies, which will pave（铺平） the way for more convenient and affordable round-trip methods for the peaceful use of space in the future.
此次试验的圆满成功，标志着我国可重复使用航天器技术渐趋成熟，后续可为和平利用太空提供更加便捷、廉价的往返方式。
US Fed slashes rates

The US Federal（联邦） Reserve on Wednesday slashed（削减） interest rates by 50 basis points amid cooling inflation（通货膨胀） and a weakening labor market, marking the first rate cut in over four years.
在通胀降温和劳动力市场疲软的背景下，美联储周三将利率下调50个基点，这是四年多来的首次降息。
This signals（标志） the start of an easing cycle. Starting from March 2022, the Fed had raised rates consecutively（连续地） for 11 times to combat inflation not seen in forty years, pushing the target range for the federal funds rate up to between 5.25 percent and 5.5 percent, the highest level in over two decades.
这标志着宽松周期的开始。从2022年3月开始，美联储连续11次加息，以应对40年来未见的通胀，将联邦基金利率的目标区间推高至5.25%至5.5%，达到20多年来的最高水平。

China's first artificial nature-inspired mountain exceeding 40 meters with cavity（洞穴） structures is now fully completed. As part of the southern section of the Shanghai Expo Culture Park, the 48-meter-high hill opened to the public together with the south section on Sept 20.

The attractions in this 65-hectare new extension sitting near the bank of the Huangpu River include two artificial hills, greenhouse gardens, and world floral gardens.

At least 492 people have been killed in intense and wide-ranging Israeli air strikes targeting Hezbollah（真主党） in Lebanon, the country's health ministry says, in the deadliest day of conflict there in almost 20 years.
