Li Ziqi, one of China's most popular influencers, made a surprising comeback on the afternoon of Nov. 12 after she stopped posting videos for more than three years.

11月12日下午，中国最受欢迎的网红之一李子柒意外地复出了，此前她已经停止更新三年多了。

Despite not updating her content since July 14, 2021, she has seen her followers increase and fans requesting for new videos during her absence. Many had wondered where she was or whether she had retired from posting.

After her new videos were posted, her number of followers quickly shot up to more than 26.67 million on Sina Weibo and 50.15 million on Douyin.

A medieval（中世纪的） statue of the Virgin Mary and Child, known as the “Virgin of Paris,”  returned to Notre Dame Cathedral on the evening of Nov. 15, five years after surviving the devastating（毁灭性的） 2019 fire that engulfed（吞没） the landmark.

The nearly six-foot-tall stone sculpture, a symbol of hope and faith for Catholics（天主教徒） in Paris and beyond, was relocated after the blaze on Apr. 15, 2019.

After the devastating fire which destroyed its spire（尖塔）, roof and wooden framework（框架）, Notre Dame is set to reopen on Dec. 8 following a five-year restoration project.

Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark has been crowned Miss Universe 2024, becoming the first Dane to ever win the competition.

The 21-year-old girl beat more than 120 other contestants to win the annual beauty pageant（选美比赛） in Mexico City on Nov. 16. The final five contestants faced questions on a range of topics, including leadership and resilience（韧性）. When asked how she would live differently if nobody would judge her, Theilvig told the judges she wouldn't change anything, saying,“I live by each day.”
