Justin Bieber was reportedly paid US$10 million to perform at billionaire heir Anant Ambani's pre-wedding ceremony.
The 30-year-old singer received the substantial payment for delivering a private concert in Mumbai on July 5. Bieber performed more than a dozen of his hits, including "Love Yourself" and "Peaches," for Anant, his fiancée Radhika Merchant, and their family and friends.
Despite already having an estimated net worth of US$300 million, Justin eagerly shared the experience on his Instagram page. He posted a series of photos and videos from the event, including a carousel of snapshots featuring him with the bride and groom-to-be.
Local reports confirmed that Justin received the impressive sum for his performance. In the photos, Justin is seen smiling backstage in a white tank top, sagging black trousers that revealed his plaid boxers, and a backward baseball cap. He posed with Anant and Radhika, both 29, as well as their loved ones.
A video from the concert showed Justin holding out his microphone to front-row guest Orhan Awatramani, who enthusiastically danced and sang along to the Grammy winner's 2015 hit "Where Are U Now."
Justin also shared images of himself enjoying a limousine ride to the venue and relaxing in a hotel suite. The private gig appeared to be packed with a few hundred guests.
After the show, Justin quickly returned to America to be with his wife, Hailey Bieber, who is 27 and pregnant with their first child.
Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries. Mukesh Ambani is the richest person in Asia, with an estimated net worth of US$123.4 billion.
The Ambani family has been preparing for Anant's wedding for months. In March, Rihanna was reportedly paid US$6 million to perform for the couple at a celebration attended by fellow billionaires Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.
In May, Anant's family hosted relatives on a three-day cruise from Italy to France, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Pitbull, and David Guetta.
