Since 2004
With luxury cars, mansions, and designer bags as backdrops, dressed in exotic attire, and holding the arm of a young foreigner while claiming to be "the princess of a certain prince"... Recently, short video accounts that once sparked the "Little Princess" craze have collectively deleted their videos and exited the internet.
A media investigation revealed that phrases like "My husband is handsome, powerful, and rich" and "I'm carrying the prince's child" were their "traffic secrets." These "princess" influencers often appeared in videos adorned with gold and silver jewelry, filming in luxurious homes or with high-end cars, while showing off their "pregnant" bellies to viewers. Their main goal was to promote and sell products during livestreams. However, whether it was "French perfume" or "British laundry detergent," most of the items they promoted were priced under 10 yuan, with the most expensive barely exceeding 50 yuan.
From flaunting wealth and playing the victim to the "princess" persona, some so-called influencers go to great lengths to attract attention and harvest traffic, creating all kinds of fake identities and narratives. These actions severely pollute the online environment. It is gratifying that regulatory authorities and platforms acted promptly to block and ban these accounts, forcing them to completely withdraw from the internet.
