Seminar Introduction

南京大学将于2024年10月26日至29日在南京大学鼓楼校区举办“城市形态科学国际研讨会(International Seminar on Urban Morpho-Science)”。本次会议将邀请国内外知名学者,共同探讨城市形态科学基础理论、城市形态的量化认知方法、城市形态科学知识的应用。会议由南京大学建筑与城市规划学院主办,江苏省土木建筑学会城市设计专业委员会协办。欢迎感兴趣的各位专家学者和学生参会。


Based on more than ten years of accumulation in urban morphology research and urban design practice, and facing the future development of cities, Nanjing University plan to hold an International Seminar on Urban Morpho-Science at 26-29 October. The main task of the seminar is to re-conceptualize the relationship between the evolution of urban morphology and the stage of social development from a scientific point of view, and focus on the quantitative representation of urban form and exchange results and experiences in quantitative urban form research.

The seminar is organized by the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Nanjing University, and co-organized by the Committee of Urban Design, Jiangsu Civil Engineering and Architectural Society. All interested experts, scholars and students are welcome to attend the seminar.

Stephen Marshall

University College London


      Stephen Marshall是伦敦大学巴特莱特规划学院城市形态与城市设计方向的教授。他在建成环境方面有30多年的研究经验,包括咨询行业和学术领域。他的主要研究兴趣在于城市形态及其与城市设计和规划的关系,包括街道布局、城市规范和局部整体关系。他编辑撰写了多本书籍,包括《Streets and Patterns》(2005)、与David Banister合著的《Land Use and Transport》、《Cities, Design and Evolution》(2009)和《Urban Coding and Planning》(2011)。他关于城市形态的几本著作已被译成中文,以供更广泛的读者阅读。他还曾于2019至2021年担任米兰理工大学建筑与城市研究系的客座教授。同时,他也是《Built Environment》期刊的联合编辑。


Stephen Marshall is Professor of Urban Morphology and Urban Design at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London. Dr. Marshall has over thirty years of experience in the built environment, initially in consultancy and subsequently in academia. His main research interests are urban morphology and its relationship to urban design and planning, including via street layout, urban codes and part–whole relationships. He has written or edited several books, including Streets and Patterns (2005), Land Use and Transport (with David Banister), Cities, Design and Evolution (2009), and Urban Coding and Planning (2011). Several of his books on urban form have been translated into Chinese for a broad audience. He was visiting professor at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at the Politecnico di Milano (2019–2021). He is co-editor of Built Environment journal.



Karl Kropf

Oxford Brookes University


      Karl Kropf博士在牛津布鲁克斯大学教授城市设计和历史保护课程,同时也是城市设计、景观和遗产保护咨询公司Built Form Resource的总监。多年来,他一直将城市形态学的学术研究与城市设计实践相结合。近期的研究重点是将城市形态学的核心概念作为整合不同方法论的基础。他是《Urban Morphology》期刊的副主编,他撰写的《城市形态手册》于2017年由John Wiley出版。他也是城市形态学研究领域的核心成员,为城市形态学理论的形成和完善做出了重要贡献,并得到了国际学术界的广泛认可。同时,他在中国城市形态学领域也极具影响力,其关于城市形态的理论已成为许多中国学者进入该领域的必读内容。


Dr. Karl Kropf teaches urban design and Historic Preservation at Oxford Brookes University and is the Director of Built Form Resource, an urban design, landscape, and heritage consultancy. He has combined academic research in urban morphology and practice in urban design for many years. Recent research has focused on the core concepts of urban morphology as a basis for integrating different methodologies. Karl is Associate Editor of the journal Urban Morphology, and his Handbook of Urban Morphology was published in 2017 by John Wiley. He is a core member of the research field of urban morphology, and has made significant contributions to the formation and improvement of urban morphology theories, which are widely recognized by the international academic community. Dr. Karl Korpf is very influential in the field of urban morphology in China, and his theories on urban morphology have become essential reading for many Chinese scholars entering the field of urban morphology.



Sergio Porta

University of Strathclyde


      Sergio Porta曾任斯特拉斯克莱德大学建筑系主任,现任该校城市设计教授、城市设计研究室主任及城市设计硕士课程负责人。他曾担任2021年格拉斯哥城市形态国际研讨会(ISUF)主席,也是该国际组织的顾问和城市科学与设计领域核心期刊的编委。他发表了50多篇期刊论文,出版了3本专著。2023年,他作为年度最佳论文作者获得了马利克奖章和迈克尔·布雷尼奖。他的研究领域包括适应性城市总体规划、循证城市设计编码、城市形态计量学以及基于社区的根本性建设过程。


Sergio Porta is the former Head of Department and currently Professor of Urban Design, Director of the Urban Design Studies Unit, Course Director of the MSc UD program at the Department of Architecture of University of Strathclyde. He was the Chair of the International Seminar of Urban Form conference 2021 in Glasgow, is advisor to international organizations and member of editorial boards of leading journals in urban science and design. He published over fifty papers on international peer-reviewed journals and three monographs. In 2023, he was awarded two prizes as author of best papers of the year: the Mellick Medal and the Michael Breheny Prize. His research is on master planning the adaptive city, evidence-based urban design coding, urban morphometrics and radical community-based construction process.



Dafna Fisher-Gewirtzman

      Dafna Fisher-Gewirtzman教授是以色列理工学院建筑视觉感知实验室和建筑研发中心的负责人,同时担任沉浸式虚拟现实可视化实验室的学术主任。她曾任该校建筑与城市规划学院建筑学系主任,并曾是纽约大学城市系统科学项目的访问学者。她的研究领域是视觉分析和模拟,以及基于潜在居民对空间的感知开发新型自动化建筑设计工具,旨在推动可持续建成环境的发展。她在许多领先的专业期刊上发表成果,并在众多国际会议和大学中进行展示。


Dafna Fisher-Gewirtzman is a Professor (PhD), the head of the Architecture Visual Perception lab and Head of the Center for research and development in Architecture. She is the former Chair of the Architecture program at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and a visiting scholar at CUSP-NYU. She serves as Academic Director of the VisLab, the immersive virtual reality visualization laboratory. Her research focus is on the field of visual analysis and simulation and development of novel, automated architecture design tools based on potential residents' perception of space, directed toward the development of sustainable built environments. Her work has been published in leading professional journals and presented in numerous international conferences and universities around the world.



Hiroyuki Usui 薄井宏行

      薄井宏行是千叶工业大学创造工学部都市环境工学科教授,也是日本科学技术振兴机构旗下的JST-PRESTO研究员。他的研究领域包括城市规划(城市分析)、城市形态学、城乡规划和地理信息科学。他在量化城市形态的特征和要素方面做出了重要贡献。他已发表了50多篇论文,其中许多发表在地理和城市研究领域的期刊上,如《国际地理信息科学杂志》、《环境与规划B》、《日本都市计划学会论文集》等。


Hiroyuki Usui is a professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Creative Engineering, Chiba Institute of Technology. He is also a JST-PRESTO Researcher, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). Professor Hiroyuki does research in Urban Planning (Urban Analytics), Urban Morphology, Urban and Regional Planning, and Geographical Information Science. He has made significant contributions to quantifying the characteristics and elements of urban form. He has published more than 50 papers, many of which have been published in journals of geography and urban studies, such as the International Journal of Geographical Information Science, Environment and Planning B, Journal of the City Planning Institute of Japan, and others.



Martin Fleischmann

      Martin Fleischmann博士是布拉格查尔斯大学城市区域实验室城市结构研究组组长,利物浦大学地理数据科学实验室研究员,斯特拉斯克莱德大学城市设计研究单位前任成员。他在斯特拉斯克莱德大学获得建筑学博士学位,研究重点是城市形态学和城市形态特征的定量分析。他的研究领域在于城市形态学和地理数据科学,尤其是城市形态的定量分析分类、遥感技术和人工智能。他致力于将建筑学方面关于城市特征的描述引入地理学和数据科学。Martin是一系列开放科学软件的开发者或维护者。他开发了一种面向Python的开源城市形态测量工具包momepy,为形态测量分析提供了多种工具。他自2019年起成为GeoPandas(用于地理数据的开源Python包)开发团队的一员,2020年加入PySAL(用于空间分析的Python库)的开发团队。此外,他还定期为其他开源项目做出贡献,并开发软件包,如用于聚类分析可视化的Clustergram和用于矢量数据三维处理的Xvec。


Dr. Martin Fleischmann leads a research group on urban structure in the Urban and Regional Laboratory at Charles University in Prague. Furthermore, he is a fellow in the Geographic Data Science Lab at the University of Liverpool and a former member of the Urban Design Studies Unit at the University of Strathclyde. He has a PhD in Architecture from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, where he focused on urban morphology and quantitative aspects of the characterisation of urban form. His research interest lies in urban morphology and geographic data science focusing on quantitative analysis and classification of urban form, remote sensing, and AI, bringing the architectural aspects of the description of cities to geography and data science. Martin is an author or a maintainer of a range of open scientific software. He developed momepy, the open-source urban morphology measuring toolkit for Python providing a wide range of tools for morphometric analysis. Since 2019, Martin has been a member of the development team of GeoPandas, the open-source Python package for geographic data. In 2020, he joined the development team of PySAL, the Python library for spatial analysis. On top of that, he regularly contributes to other open-source projects and develops his packages like Clustergram for the visualisation of cluster analysis or Xvec for vector data cube handling.



Filip Biljecki

Filip Biljecki is an urban data scientist and professor at the National University of Singapore where he has established the NUS Urban Analytics Lab, which has been a home for dozens of enthusiastic researchers who share ambitions about making our cities smarter and more data-driven. His background is in Geomatic engineering and geospatial technologies, and he is jointly appointed as Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture (College of Design and Engineering) and the Department of Real Estate (NUS Business School). He holds a PhD degree (with highest honours, top 5%) in 3D GIS from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where he also did his MSc in Geomatics. In 2020, he was awarded the Presidential Young Professorship by NUS for his outstanding contributions to urban data analytics and education. His work not only advances urban science but also provides innovative solutions for urban planning and management to make cities smarter and more sustainable.



Christopher Law 罗健中

      罗健中是业界公认的可持续城市发展和邻里社区专家。他于1992年与Patrick Bruce共同创立了欧华尔顾问有限公司,同时担任其附属机构INTEGER的董事。INTEGER是一个可持续发展和智能城市行动研究机构,致力于开展许多开创性的可持续发展项目,其中包括在多层建筑中使用复合竹材的世界先例。在他的领导下,欧华尔开创了“开放式城市”设计原则,该原则在屡获殊荣的北京三里屯太古里和成都太古里项目中得到完美展现。

       罗健中同时也是香港多个公共部门和第三界别委员会的成员,包括发展局的城市设计咨询小组和西九文化区的公私合作伙伴关系委员会。他是屡获联合国教科文组织殊荣的香港文物保护和社区参与式蓝屋发展项目的主席,同时也是香港家庭福利会的主席。他是公共空间组织“非常香港”及其社区土地倡议“非常协作”的首席策展人和创始人。罗健中毕业于斯托尼赫斯特学院和伦敦大学学院巴特莱特建筑学院。他的项目曾获得英国皇家建筑师学会(RIBA)、美国建筑师学会(AIA)、皇家艺术学院(RA)、香港建筑师学会(HKIA)、香港规划师学会(HKIP)、香港城市设计学会(HKIUD)、城市土地学会(ULI)以及世界建筑节(WAF)的奖项认可。罗健中曾被授予美国建筑师学会(AIA)荣誉会员,以表彰他在建筑领域的杰出贡献,他同时也是香港特别行政区的太平绅士。


Chris Law is an acknowledged leading practitioner on sustainable urbanism and neighbourhood development. Chris founded the Oval Partnership with Patrick Bruce in 1992, and is a director of its subsidiary, the sustainable and smart city action research group INTEGER that develops many ground-breaking initiatives in sustainable development, notably the world’s first in the use of structural laminated bamboo in multi-storey buildings. Under his leadership the Oval Partnership developed the Open City design principle, manifested in the award-winning Sanlitun Taikoo Li Beijing and Taikoo Li Chengdu projects. He is member of a number of public sector and third sector committees in Hong Kong including the Urban Design Advisory Group of the Development Bureau and the Public Private partnership Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District. He is the chairman of the UNESCO award-winning heritage conservation and community participatory Viva Blue House development in Hong Kong, and chairman of the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society.  He is the chief curator and founder of the public space organisation Very Hong Kong and its community land initiative Collaborate Hong Kong.  A graduate of Stonyhurst College in Lancashire and the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL, Chris' projects have received awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects, The American Institute of Architects, The Royal Academy of Arts, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, The Hong Kong Institute of Planners, The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, Urban Land Institute and World Architecture Festival. He was made an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects for his contribution to Architecture. He is a Justice of the Peace of the Hong Kong SAR.



韩冬青

东南大学


      韩冬青,全国工程勘察设计大师,东南大学建筑学院教授,东南大学建筑设计研究院有限公司首席总建筑师,城市建筑工作室(UAL)创始人之一,住建部科学技术委员会建筑设计专业委员会委员,中国建筑学会常务理事,教育部高等学校建筑类专业教学指导委员会秘书长,《建筑学报》编委会副主任。

      1994年获东南大学建筑学专业工学博士学位,1994-1996年同济大学博士后流动站,1997年起在东南大学任教至今。长期从事建筑学教育、研究和实践。在城市建筑一体化设计、城市更新、绿色低碳设计等方面取得重要成果。主持国家重点研发计划项目中课题2项、国家自然科学基金项目3项。出版著作4部,发表论文90余篇。获省部级优秀工程设计奖40余项、教育部科技成果奖2项、国家级教学成果一等奖1项。2021年获评全国工程勘察设计大师。


Han Dongqing, a national design master of engineering and consulting, is a professor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, Chief Architect of Southeast University Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., and one of the founders of Urban Architecture lab (UAL). He is also a member of the Architectural Design Professional Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's Science and Technology Committee, Executive Director of the Architectural Society of China, Secretary-General of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Architectural Professions in Colleges and Universities under the Ministry of Education, and Deputy Director of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Architecture".

He obtained his Ph.D. in Architecture from Southeast University in 1994, and was a postdoctoral fellow at Tongji University from 1994 to 1996. He has been teaching at Southeast University since 1997. He has long been engaged in architectural education, research, and practice, achieving significant results in the integration of urban and architectural design, urban renewal, and green low-carbon design. He has presided over two sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program and three National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published four books and over 90 papers. He has won over 40 provincial and ministerial-level excellent engineering design awards, two scientific and technological achievement awards from the Ministry of Education, and one first-class national teaching achievement award. In 2021, he was awarded the title of National Design Master of Engineering and Consulting.



陈泳

同济大学


      陈泳博士,同济大学建筑与城市规划学院教授。他主要研究方向为城市形态与城市设计,长期从事宜步行城市环境研究。他也是一名建筑师和城市设计师,拥有30年的专业经验。2000年在东南大学获得博士学位,随后在同济大学从事城市设计博士后研究,出版了《城市空间:形态、类型与意义》一书,并发表了一系列关于城市形态、公共空间和步行环境等主题的文章。


Dr. Yong CHEN is a Professor in College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, China. His main research field is urban form and urban design. He has long been engaged in the theoretical research on the built environment of walkable cities. He is also an architect and urban designer with 30 years of professional experience. He received his Ph.D. from Southeast University in 2000 and then engaged in post-doctoral research in urban design at Tongji University. He has published the book "Urban Space: Form, Topology and Meaning" and a series of articles about topic such as urban form, public space and walking environment.



杨滔

清华大学


      杨滔,清华大学建筑学院副教授,现任《城市设计》副主编,智慧人居环境与空间规划治理技术创新中心副主任,中国城市科学研究会数字孪生与未来城市专委会副主任委员与BIM专委会副主任,国际空间句法学术指导委员会执行委员等。长期从事数字城市模拟仿真工作,主持和承担科技部重点专项课题四“数字城市规划技术集成平台研究”等研究课题14项。主持雄安新区规划建设(BIM/CIM)管理平台等国家级重大项目,并主持苏州市、深圳前海妈湾、北京南中轴等城市信息模型(CIM)平台建设,以及深圳市既有重要建筑BIM项目等。在数字城市领域发表论文170余篇,获批发明专利7项,主编参编CIM与数字孪生城市相关标准7项。多次获全国地理信息产业优秀工程金奖(雄安、苏州、深圳)、中国建筑学会建筑设计奖(北京副中心)、全国优秀城市规划设计奖等。


Yang Tao, Associate Professor of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, currently holds the position of Deputy Editor of Urban Design and serves as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Innovation in Smart Human Settlements and Spatial Planning Governance Technologies. He is also the Vice Chair of both the Digital Twin and Future Cities Special Committee and the BIM Special Committee within the Chinese Society for Urban Studies. In addition, he is an Executive Member of the International Space Syntax Academic Advisory Board.

Yang has dedicated his career to the study of digital city simulation and has directed or contributed to 14 significant research projects, including the Ministry of Science and Technology’s flagship initiative, "Research on the Integrated Platform for Digital City Planning Technologies." Among his national contributions, he has overseen critical projects such as the BIM/CIM management platform for the Xiong’an New Area. He has also led the development of City Information Model (CIM) platforms for Suzhou, Shenzhen Qianhai Mawan, and Beijing's South Central Axis, as well as major BIM projects concerning existing buildings in Shenzhen.

In the realm of digital cities, Yang has an impressive record of scholarly output, having published more than 170 papers and been awarded 7 invention patents. Furthermore, he has taken a leadership role in developing standards for CIM and digital twin cities, acting as chief editor or co-editor of 7 major guidelines in this emerging field. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including multiple National Geographic Information Industry Excellence in Engineering Gold Awards for projects in Xiong’an, Suzhou, and Shenzhen. He has also received the Architectural Design Award from the Architectural Society of China for his work on Beijing’s sub-center, as well as the National Excellence in Urban Planning Design Award.



叶宇

同济大学


      叶宇,同济大学建筑与城市规划学院副教授,建成环境技术中心副主任。博士就读于香港大学,并在苏黎世联邦理工学院未来城市实验室开展博士后研究。其研究领域为量化城市形态学和计算性城市设计。围绕这一方向先后主持国家级项目3项,省部级7项,横纵向经费累计1200余万元,发表SCI/SSCI检索期刊论文36篇(3篇入选ESI高被引论文),以及中文核心期刊论文40余篇,相关技术支持的设计实践先后获得全国/省优设计奖5项。


Dr. Yu YE is an Associate Professor from College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, where he acts as deputy director of Built Environment Research Centre. Dr. Ye earned his MSC in TU Delft, Netherlands and Ph.D. from University of Hong Kong. After that, he had worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Future Cities Lab, ETH Zurich. His research focuses on quantitative urban morphology and computational urban design by integrating new urban science with traditional disciplines. Dr. Ye has received three national-level research grants, seven provincial-level research grants and a series of research funding from design institutions with total amount over 12 million RMB (around 1.4 million USD). Meanwhile, he has published 36 articles in SCI / SSCI indexed journals (with 3 of them selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers) and around 40 Chinese articles. By cooperating with renowned design companies in China, Dr. Ye has successively won the national-level and provincial-level excellent design award five times.

丁沃沃

丁沃沃,南京大学建筑与城市规划学院教授,城市与建筑研究团队的带头人。她在瑞士 ETH-Z 获得技术科学博士学位。她与同事共同创建了南京大学建筑学科。她拥有 40 年的学术和建筑实践经验,曾多次获得建筑设计、城市设计和研究奖项。她目前的研究方向主要集中在两个方面:一是城市形态科学和城市形态特征的定量研究,二是城市形态特征与城市环境质量的相关性研究。她带领团队完成了包括国家重点基金在内的多项科研项目,并在国际合作基金的支持下,正在开展城市形态特征数据库和基于城市形态特征的建模方法研究。


Wowo Ding is a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Nanjing University, and team leader of the Urban and Architecture Research Team. She received her PhD in technical sciences from ETH-Z, Switzerland. Together with her colleagues, she founded the discipline of architecture at Nanjing University. She has 40 years of experience in academic and architectural practice and has received numerous awards for architectural design, urban design and research. Her current research interests focus on two areas: one is the science of urban form and the quantitative study of urban form characteristics, and the other is the study of the relationship between urban form characteristics and urban environmental quality. She has led her team to complete a number of research projects, including the National Key Fund, and with the support of the International Cooperation Fund, she is working on the urban morphology feature database and morphology feature modelling methodology based on urban morphology features.



童滋雨

南京大学建筑与城市规划学院教授

童滋雨,南京大学建筑与城市规划学院教授,主要从事计算机辅助建筑设计、计算性城市设计、城市形态与微气候等领域的研究。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目1项、国家自然科学基金重点项目子课题1项,发表论文90多篇,获中国建筑学会科技进步奖二等奖1项,获国家发明专利授权2项、国家计算机软件著作权1项。主持和参与的城市设计和建筑设计项目获得省部级以上奖项20余项。


Dr. Tong Ziyu is a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Nanjing University. He is mainly engaged in the research of Computer Aided Architectural Design, Computational Urban Design, urban morphology and microclimate. He has presided over one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one sub-project of the Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, published over 90 papers, won one second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Architectural Society of China, obtained two national invention patents, and one national computer software copyright. He has led and participated in urban design and architectural design projects that have won more than 20 awards.



唐莲

南京大学建筑与城市规划学院副教授

唐莲,南京大学建筑与城市规划学院副教授,主要从事城市设计、城市空间图示和量化方法的研究。她主持和参与多项国家及省级重要研究课题,发表期刊与高水平国际会议论文30余篇。目前主持1项江苏省自然科学基金面上项目,并参与1项中欧联合国际(地区)合作与交流项目,研究公交优先导向下的城市步行公共空间形态特征的量化研究方法。此外,她参与多项城市更新背景下的城市设计实践项目,对研究成果进行应用,获国家及省部级设计行业奖近20项。


Lian Tang is an associate professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Nanjing University. She is mainly engaged in the study of urban design and description methodology of urban space. She has led and contributed to numerous national and provincial research projects, and has authored over 30 papers in journals and international conferences. Currently, she is leading a project funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province and is also a participant in an international project under the JPI Urban Europe and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Both projects are dedicated to the quantitative study of the morphological characteristics of pedestrian public spaces, with a particular focus on public transportation priority. Additionally, she has been involved in numerous urban design and architectural projects aimed at urban regeneration in China, earning nearly 20 awards for her work.



胡友培

南京大学建筑学与城市规划学院副教授、

建筑设计教研室主任

胡友培,南京大学建筑学与城市规划学院副教授,建筑设计教研室主任。同时担任江苏省土木建筑学会城市设计专业委员会秘书长,中国建筑学会城市设计分会理事。他的研究领域为城市设计理论与教学,城市形态量化研究。主持国家青年自然科学基金项目1项,参与多项国家自然科学基金课题。在中观城市尺度上,围绕城市形态性能的研究主题(与微气候、与公共交通),发表论文20余篇。胡博士同时致力于城市设计、建筑设计实践与教学。获得省部级设计奖项18项,并指导学生多次获得相关设计竞赛奖项。


Dr. Hu Youpei is an associate professor at School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Nanjing University, and the director of the Architectural Design Teaching Group. Serving as the Secretary General of the Urban Design Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Civil Engineering and Architecture Society and a committee member of the Urban Design Branch of the China Architecture Society. His research areas include urban design theory and teaching, as well as quantitative urban morphological research. Hosted one National Youth Natural Science Foundation project and participated in several National Science Foundation projects. Focused on meso-scale of cities, more than 20 papers have been published on the research topics of urban form performance (related to microclimate and public transportation). Dr. Hu is also dedicated to urban design, architectural design practice, and teaching. Received 18 provincial and ministerial level design awards, and guided students to win relevant design competition awards many times.



刘铨

南京大学建筑与城市规划学院副教授

刘铨是南京大学建筑与城市规划学院副教授,主要研究领域为城市形态学理论、城市肌理类型学及其量化分析研究。


Quan Liu is an associate professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Nanjing University. His main research areas include urban morphology theory, urban typo-morphology and its quantitative analysis.
