本课是译林版英语三上 Unit5 She’s my mother 课内外融合阅读课,融合绘本为《My grandpa》。旨在通过绘本教学,激发学生阅读的兴趣,丰富阅读体验,培养阅读习惯。在学生感受绘本的趣味之余,有效提高他们的主动思考能力。
Pre-reading
首先,创设家庭场景,通过复习LiuTao家庭人物情况巩固本单元重点句型,并结合刘涛一家爷爷爱讲故事的喜好,导入绘本阅读。通过Cover-reading,指导学生有效挖掘关键人物和主题。
While-reading
然后,用听一听回答问题的方法感悟出爷爷“old”这个关键词,也自然引出新授词汇“glasses”和“walking stick”。根据分析爷爷性格特征的顺序,以及发挥想象等方式激发学生的阅读兴趣,感悟到爷爷“strong”“cute”的性格特征,从而更好地帮助学生感悟爷爷和小熊之间的感情,并指导学生通过行动导图和板书提升故事复述能力。通过让学生自读11-22页绘本,发现爷爷更多的特征,旨在培养学生自主阅读和探索的能力,在老师的帮助下总结出爷爷“nice”和“lost”的两大特征。利用小组合作的方式进行找一找,贴一贴的小组活动,让学生在活动中进一步感受爷爷的这两大性格特征,人物情境表演(mini theater), 小组合作等教学方法全方位提升学生语用能力和思维品质。
Post-reading
最后,通过故事的整体回顾,让学生思考本节绘本带给他们的深层涵义,家庭是温暖的港湾,这份来自家庭的爱不仅仅是父母,还可以是祖孙之间。同时通过优秀范例的呈现,鼓励学生表达对自己爷爷奶奶的爱。
本节课中,通过与学生的有效互动,深切感受到他们的语言表达能力,也感受到图示教学的魅力,让学生逐步从被牵引阅读模式转变到半自主阅读模式。本节课的图示教学有助于学生更清晰地理解文章思路, 整体性地把握和复述文章内容, 发展学生的语言运用能力, 提高学生的英语阅读水平。在下一阶段的教学中,我也想尝试以思维导图为支架,开展仿写活动,让学生学会更清晰、更有逻辑、更完善的文本表达,从而真正提升他们的思维品质。
